Something Missing But Worth It
For everything good, there was always something bad. They tout that the free breakfast is served in the "Tucan Tango" restaurant, when actually the Tucan is long out of business and they have the same old continental breakfast being served there only you sit on plastic lawn chairs. But, the views from the restaurant were awesome. The beach couldn't have been nicer. Great location. The pool was excellent, except that it closes at 8pm, no explanation why. The hotel sits on top of a two story mall, that is at about 10% occupancy. The food at the few restaurants that are in business is wonderful, specificaly the Southside Eatery and Ocean Skewers. The rooms were dated, but comfortbable. It was in a great spot, easy to get to South Beach, downtown Miami, and Fort Lauderdale. I'd stay there again, and you should to, just keep you expectations to you get what you pay for. I have hopes for their renovation they have going on because done properly this could be an amazing "resort"
