Was Not What I expected
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/10/09
I attended a conference here and first off all when I got there my room along with 100+ rooms were not ready. Next didn't get the room that was requested, my room was not paid for (even though my office had already sumbitted the payment) I got to the hotel at 12:30 and didn't get into my room until 4:30. I was tired and frustrated and the front desk staff didn;t even care. The keys didn't work. They say that we were waiting so long because the rooms weren't ready. Well when I saw the staff they were standing around like they had no work to do. when the workers came do our rooms they nver had enough towels and always forgot to bring the wash clothes back. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Never Again :(
By Sunshyn, 04/24/09
For starters their photos are misleading. The hotel is in need of a serious paint job or just a whole new make over. I was only there for the weekend and it will be the LAST. I asked for a ocean view room and they gave me a ugly side view where you can see construction and of course you call the front desk and for $30.00 additional dollars you can have a balcony with full ocean view, the front desk person told me I should have requested a FULL OCEAN VIEW. Parking horrible $20.00 per day NO ONE speaks English. The pool looks old and outdated... This was a very bad experience for me; one good thing there's a Walgreens across the street stop and pick up some Lysol before checking in you will need it; and IHOP is in walking distance...I hope this will help someone when making a choice to where you’re going to stay the next time your in Miami. April 17-19 … enjoyed Miami hated my hotel… I went by the pictures and not the reviews… I’ve learned my lesson.

I called to speak with a manager only to get screamed at and she hung up on me!!!!! telling me to sue her!!! This place is a dump and I should have stayed in ramada and would have gotten better service! oh yeah, breakfast is $18 for some nasty eggs and bagels. Save your money!!!! RUN!!! Would not recommend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/05/09
Rooms are bare minimum, comparable to basic budget motel rooms if that; in desperate need of MAJOR renovation. Peeling paint on hallways and doors; dark and dingy bathrooms; hallways never seemed to be vacuumed and dirty. No beach lounge chairs or umbrellas provided despite daily $10 "resort fee". Mildewy smell in elevators. Nice pool area but only way to enjoy beach was to sit on sand on a towel. Lobby big and was at some point grand but is long in the tooth. Would not stay here again.

Read all reviews and still stayed, it was okay.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/04/08
I went after reading all the reviews and I must say it was okay. The hotel is old. The halls smelled musky. The room was clean but it needs an update. Everything just felt old. The service was good. Our A/C broke down around 3 am when we arrived back to the room after night of clubbing and they promptly (1 hour) provided us a different room with an upgrade: a beachfront balcony. I went with the lowest expectations and that helped. I didnt experience the parking problems because we did not rent a vehicle. There was a Walgreens Grocery store across the street which was very convenient and a great bar across the street to the left. It is far from the night clubs; at least a $20 taxi ride. I wouldn't stay there with my family but if for a short vacation with friends, it was alright.

BAD!
I have to agree with the previous poster, you will leave feeling you have been ripped off. 10U$ a day resort charges,20 dollars a day parking valet, old beds, but wonderful barber (Jessie) on the lower floor, very nice lobby excellent location.

dont even stay here
By RayHi, 06/06/08
bad bad bad, I work for a Hotel and this is the first time, I felt like I was ripped off, they charge for a early check in, and worst into a rundown rooms, they should sell the rooms as it still looks like when the Beatles vistied, its better then saying it is elegant, beds are the same ones they had in the 50's, and then charge again for late check out, you are just going to feel ripped off staying in this Hotel, bad free WiFi

Good Choice
By Buff Diamond, 05/08/08
This place was recommended by a friend and his wife. There is a clothing-optional beach that I visit annually and Deauville was on the bus line. For those who don't want to have a car, you can also take a bus directly into Southbeach. I had a very good experience there and would definitely go back. The place clean and comfortable. The room was better than most that I've seen in Miami. I felt comfortable storing food in the refrigerator. I really liked the gym and the services it provided, such as classes and massages. In addition to the Deauville's restaurant, there are also various restaurants in the area including fast food places. Most of all, it was very reasonable.
