Great vacation
By SandraG, 10/01/09
A great hotel in a great town. The staff at Southernmost Hotel is just the friendliest group of people. Our trip was prepared ahead of time for a surprise birthday gift for my husband, the staff went above and beyond anything I expected. Right down to the receptionist at the front desk wishing him a happy birthday when we arrived. Touches like that is what helps make decisions on where to stay when returning to vacation desitination. I look forward to my next visit to Key West, when we will definitely stay at the Southernmost Hotel.

Everyone on staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool was very relaxing. Nice location. Road bikes every day to Mallory square and Duval Street. We are planning to go back again next year. Thanks Southernmost for a great vacation.

I wish we could have stayed longer!
By buuyakasha, 04/13/09
This is a very nice hotel. I liked the tile floors, the decor, the cleanliness, the location, the friendly staff. It was just a short walk to everything. I wish we had had time to visit the restaurant on-site. There was only a lack of "Do not Disturb" signs and parking spaces. This was a nice place and I would stay there again.

Not what I expected for the $$$
By ClydeV, 03/05/08
Now I know what they mean when I see hotel signs in Key West for Hot Water, Cold Water..... this one had both but not at same time, at least not in the shower. Which by the way was the definition of low flow! Our room was facing the parking lot so we had the unexpected noise of rowdies returning in the wee hours...3 nights in a row. No...this was not Spring Break Week.Being on the opposite end of the action I didn't think we'd have to deal with this, so it wasn't worth the miles walking back and forth every day. In addition, I thought "motels" had outside entrances, and hotels were entered on inside.... not what I expected for the $$$. Clean but that was the only thing it had going for it.

Nice but overpriced
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/02/08
I've stayed here 3 or 4 times now. It's a nice place located off Duval Street on the opposite side of the island from Mallory square. You'll probably need to drive to get over to Mallory Square, which is where everyone heads off to for the sunset. They do have a nice beach, which is hard to find in the Keys. BUT!!! It's really gotten over priced for what it offers.

Awesome hotel to stay at. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Close to the beach and right on Duval Street. At the opposite end of Duval but within walking distance to everything!

We would definitely go back!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/02/08
My family of four (2 adults & two teenagers ages 19 and 16) stayed at the hotel for two nights on Dec. 23 & 24th after a week long cruise from the Eastern Carribean. We loved the resort & the location of the resort. We walked down Duval Street both nights that we were there and it's only about a 20 min. walk to Mallory Square. There were 3 pools to choose from and a small beach and restaurant on the premises. Our room had two double beds, which were a little small - but they were comfortable. The decor of the room and resort reminded me of what a room would be like in Key West - very quaint & tropical. The grounds and the landscaping was kept very nice. We definitely wish we could of stayed their for an entire week to be able to really enjoy everything there is to do in Key West. We definitely have Key West on the top of our list to visit and we would definitely like to stay at this resort again.

QUITE - Can't wait for next year.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/24/07
They are under major renovations. Our room was just done 2 days b/4 we arrived. The place is immaculate. Pools are great, staff very helpful and always smiling and cheerful. Beds are very comfortable. I mean i've had less in 5 stars. We had a little patio outside our room, small as is the room. The place is a great vaule and far from the noise of the pier area. The restaurant on the beach is great, open to the beach, good for breakfast(have the seafood omelet) and pickings. You have your choice of all the ajoining hotels pool for your stay.
