Too much money for the space
By Blondie, 6/14/11
The Hotel was ok, not any different than any other hotel.. The room was average, we had to have someone come up and for 3 days in a row plunge the toilet because it kept filling up to the overflow mark. (not good) The bed was ok, the staff at the front desk was really nice. The pools were ok... I never did see a Jacuzzi like in the photos.. maybe it was hidden. The beach, well too much sea weed washing ashore to go swimming in the muck!! Had a bad smell from the seaweed... I would have to say the food at the restaurant was plentiful and delicious... overall stay was ok... I believe it was too pricy also..

Phone to book your room.
By Paul A, 5/13/11
The web site shows one room which we thought we had booked the most expensive in the house and then we where put in another room very close to the Ocean with old furniture and a drain that made a noise every twenty minutes through out the night, and a fire alarm that we could not turn off. We have stopped in some of the best hotels in the USA and payed top money, this was disappointing Make sure you phone and book room 201 if you want the room in the pictures which is the most expensive. WE WANTED TO STAY IN THE HOUSE.

The only place to stay in Key West
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/24/10
We had a great time and could not be more satisfied with our stay at the Southernmost Hotel. It was our first time in the Keys, and the location along with the great Beach side resturant made it one of the best vacations we have ever had!

Great vacation
By SandraG, 10/1/09
A great hotel in a great town. The staff at Southernmost Hotel is just the friendliest group of people. Our trip was prepared ahead of time for a surprise birthday gift for my husband, the staff went above and beyond anything I expected. Right down to the receptionist at the front desk wishing him a happy birthday when we arrived. Touches like that is what helps make decisions on where to stay when returning to vacation desitination. I look forward to my next visit to Key West, when we will definitely stay at the Southernmost Hotel.

One of our best vacations !
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/20/09
Everyone on staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Pool was very relaxing. Nice location. Road bikes every day to Mallory square and Duval Street. We are planning to go back again next year. Thanks Southernmost for a great vacation.

I wish we could have stayed longer!
By buuyakasha, 4/13/09
This is a very nice hotel. I liked the tile floors, the decor, the cleanliness, the location, the friendly staff. It was just a short walk to everything. I wish we had had time to visit the restaurant on-site. There was only a lack of "Do not Disturb" signs and parking spaces. This was a nice place and I would stay there again.

Not what I expected for the $$$
Now I know what they mean when I see hotel signs in Key West for Hot Water, Cold Water..... this one had both but not at same time, at least not in the shower. Which by the way was the definition of low flow! Our room was facing the parking lot so we had the unexpected noise of rowdies returning in the wee hours...3 nights in a row. No...this was not Spring Break Week.Being on the opposite end of the action I didn't think we'd have to deal with this, so it wasn't worth the miles walking back and forth every day. In addition, I thought "motels" had outside entrances, and hotels were entered on inside.... not what I expected for the $$$. Clean but that was the only thing it had going for it.

Nice but overpriced
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/2/08
I've stayed here 3 or 4 times now. It's a nice place located off Duval Street on the opposite side of the island from Mallory square. You'll probably need to drive to get over to Mallory Square, which is where everyone heads off to for the sunset. They do have a nice beach, which is hard to find in the Keys. BUT!!! It's really gotten over priced for what it offers.

Awesome hotel to stay at. Quiet, clean and comfortable. Close to the beach and right on Duval Street. At the opposite end of Duval but within walking distance to everything!
