Avoid.

Take home message: If you go into this hotel realizing that you are going to be charged $.8.50/day on top of your room rate for internet, playgrounds, pools, a shabby mini-golf course, and other “conveniences” you probably won’t use, and can live with 1-2 star service, this is your place. They lure you with amenities that you pay separately for, but this is, at best, a 2 star experience. Stay at this hotel if you enjoy: - Tepid water at all times of day: noon, always in the A.M., and midnight; - Loose shower handles; - Hearing people talking and using the bathroom through thin walls; - Leaf blowing outside of your room at 8AM; - Peeling bathtub finish - Sloppy post-hurricane remodels and ceiling patches; - Popcorn ceilings sprayed so thick that they literally fall onto the floor; - A shallow, alligator/mosquito pond; - Loose/missing baseboard; - A “business center” that charges you by the minute, by the fax, and by the print; - No fitted sheets;; - Unresponsive management and rude staff that curses in front of your kids;

cheap low quality hotel

Could not know the name of resort or hotel I was going to stay. Travelocity rated this hotel "Maingate lakeside resort" in kissemmee,FL as 3 start but in reality it is 1 star. I was given 2 full size beds supposed to be 2 doubles for me & my wife. pillows without covers. pillows and pillow covers completely worn out restroom is only 5' x 5', no microwave, onsite restaurant sucks $10 for buffet which does not include soft drinks or juices, there are many restaurants offering all you can eat breakfast for just $5 close by. even the soap, shampoo provided are horrible. Had to wait 4 hours to get couple of towels. Wireless internet not good reception. Clock / alarm does not work. Coffee machine was missing coffee tray, could not drink coffee. On top of this there is an resort fee of $7.5 / day. Could not use available safe because I was told an engineer has to come to the room to show me how to use it and I have to wait 20 to 30 minutes for the engineer.

Disgusting

Out of 4 years I have been going here I have never had a problem, this year My family and I went and My we found bed bugs all over the bed, and bathroom, My children didn't want to sleep, My daughter slept on a chair for two nights, its truly disgusting. BED BUGS!!!

It was the worst dump we ever stayed in in the USA

The first room they gave us had a filthy carpet and really stank, The second room had only a trickle of water from the tap.The water was stone col in the morning and at night. The telephone did not work and the lock on door did not work. The third room they gave us was supposed to be an upgrade. The a/c did not work and the maintenace came out twice .We were frozen, THEN A FAMILY MOVED IN NEXT DOOR AND WE COULD HER EVERTHING THEY SAID AS THE WALLS ARE PAPER THIN AND TO TOP IT ALL THEY HAD A CHILD WHO CRIED MOST OF THE NIGHT. We had to get out in the end and find somewhere else .I do not understand how some of these people think this dump is so fantastic. I think they must have been staying in a different place to me. It is a downtrodden dump and filthy in most places.

stayed 2006-2008 4 adults 2 kids 10-12 really enjoyed it we found it clean and the staff really good, I like my comfort on holiday and found this at best western.It was close to all disney parks and there was eating places everywhere. The pool areas are great and the added pool bar was brill if you just wanted to spend a relaxing afternoon.My daughter, son-inlaw and the boys also had a good time and are counting the days till next year.

They should raise prices!

I paid 50/night, this was a steal. You would think for that price this place would be a dive. It's far from a dive! Big room, clean room, updated! Less than a 5 minute drive from Disney. Tons of places to eat within walking distance! The pool was huge, clean and warm! I've stayed in hotels that cost triple that price and were not as nice, they should be chargin 99/night!

I will always stay at this Hotel

I use a wheelchair to get around and the staff was wonderful,full access for wheelchair users, but if you need to get into the room bathroom and can't get out of a wheelchair ask for room 719, I believe it it the only room with a walk-in shower, they should have more than 1, when I booked the Hotel I was given a different room and realized I could not get into the bathroom, the manager was very nice and upgrade me at no charge to the master suite with king size bed and sleeper sofa, my son stayed with me while I was there, he loved the internet access, the housekeeping service was great, Virginia was assigned to my room for the 2 week stay and she was very nice and I always had everything I asked for,I wish I stayed longer and will always go back here when I need a Hotel in the area. I can't say enough nice things about this Hotel,it has 3 pools,a very nice bar/restaurant,excellent staff,I even needed someone to take my wheelchair back to my room after getting into my car and he offered to put it on it's charger without me even asking,the entire grounds are beautiful,although the lake could use some sprucing up,everyone is very friendly,I never felt singled out because I use a wheelchair,I felt like a real person who was being treated well just like everyone else. This is the very best Hotel I have ever stayed at and will not hesitate to stay at again,in fact I hope to get a chance to go back soon,I didn't want to leave. Thank you to everyone there,I can't remember the managers name(begins with a J)but he was wonderful along with everyone else.

stayed 36 nights and will go back

The hotel was excellent, been to orlando 7 times and this hotel is the best we have ever stayed at. polite staff, very helpful, very clean rooms, maid service everyday, atmosphere was great, very central to everything. Looking forward to going back in December for another 36 nights.

Not impressed

For starters they screwed up my reservation and didn't charge the correct credit card when I arrived. Our room had several electric outlets that were literally falling out of the wall which is a severe fire hazard. The people at the front lobby could not have been more unconcerned when we tried to address our concerns to them. The only 2 bright spots were the great weather we had and the account clerk who, finally got my credit situation straightened out. She is the only employee at the hotel who was helpful at all to me!

very happy with our stay at the Best Western Lakeside we have stayed at this hotel on 2 occassions now with travel city and we would not go in any other hotel, the facilities which are provided are great and the price is a bonus 2. Great Hotel and great location.
