The worst hotel i ever been 2
By chanda, 5/27/08
I have alot of unhappy complaints about the "Bay Breeze Hotel." When we first arrived at the airport on 5-22-08, we were asking information about how to get to the hotel. The lady informed us that there was no listing for such a hotel. So we still assumed that it could have been a mistake, yeah right! Now were in the cab calling 411 for information and they to don't have a listing. Finally arrive to the hotel and oh my god. The first thing that we see is that the hotel name is actually "Ocean Breeze." Know wonder why there was no listing. The room service was horrible she barely cleaned the room, never swept the floor, and we were always asking for towels. Another thing that hotel misrepresented was there ammenties. I really hated this hotel it reminded me of the Norman Bates Hotel. I suggest to all who would like to stay Do Not! You can find another cheaper better hotel.

What a dump
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/31/08
It's an ugly place if you're used to staying in nice hotels. But if you're looking for the cheapest thing around (esp. during high/expensive spring break) then this is a just the place you need to sleep and shower. It's a motel and should not be called a Hotel (you can't even see the two story building in the middle of all the nice HOTELS surrounding it). I have to say the beds were comfy enough for me. But don't look outside the window b/c the view is just horrible- construction workers right outside our window i guess trying to clean up the front.

Not the best by far.
By Stefanie h, 7/1/07
The pool was dirty all but one day. The electric outlets were broken and were a hazard if used. The refrigerator didn't keep things cool even when turned all the way down. Being across the road from the beach was nice. The first night the guy at check in was nice but after that it was only okay. The employees were always on chat rooms or porn sites in the evenings. The cleaning was okay but they missed a lot of things.

Could do better (much)
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/24/07
Shabby run down and not a good deal at all. If this is restored and refurbished I'd hate to see what it was like previously. The advertising blurb boasts mini fridge, continental breakfast and ironing centre amongst other things - not when we stayed!! Oh and don't expect the ice making Ice making machine to function - we reported it faulty but littl interest was shown. The communal carpets could also do with a bit of a clean. Oh and no internet

Worst place I have ever stayed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/6/07
Filthy dirty, bugs everywhere, drywall and tiles broken and all over the floor, old and musty, people working there said that they would return our money for the night (when we did not stay because of the filth) , but denied it to the booking agent. Made us out fake credits to our credit card and pretended not to speak english when addressed with these problems.

A DUMP FOR A HOTEL/MOTEL!
By Trinibutterfly, 4/12/07
This is the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. The manager has the audacity to feel very comfortable to allow people to stay there. I was appalled to see that that was the place I'd be staying. The room stank, there were dead bugs on the window sill, the sheets were soiled and the bath and toilet were horrible. To top it all off they wanted a $150.00 deposit in cases of incidences. Can you believe that? That place felt like a disease waiting to happen and they want to charge a deposit? Imagine four and five star hotels don't even charge that much money but they did. How sad and disgusting! I certainly wasted my money and I can definitely say that would never recommend anyone to stay at that filth and dump for a hotel! I could go on and on but the dump is not worth it. I just had to write this just for the unsuspecting, innocent victims so that they would not fall prey to that dump.

a Great Place - rather keep it a secret
By Terrence, 1/11/06
This place is a real find - don't know what the other reviews are about.(see below) Stayed here several times even before renovation. Clean, cool, comfortable rooms, all staff freindly, extremely good rates, and FREE parking! right on main strip. This is unheard of as I've stayed at other places here for more $ and conditions or service were poor. ...Why would someone expect a discount during a hurricane? Lucky there were rooms still avail. or there wasn't price gouching. Pool closed? There was a hurricane in progress! Often with lightning!! Of course it's closed. Cable out? Again, hurricane. Lucky if you have electricity. Rugs wet? Ditto. Why would someone even stay at a 2-story hotel across from the OCEAN during a HURRICANE if you're looking for safe haven? That's the last place you should be. Try inland. I'm from NJ and even I know that. ... And where is there a Wal-Mart anywhere around here or MB?
