Horrible- Anywhere but here!!!
First, the Hyatt is a few feet away - stay there instead - I paid $112 per person to stay here. I booked through a travel website. They were sure to tell me that there were no more rooms available that I could cancel for a refund once reservations were made - that should have warned me. I requested, and was guaranteed, a queen size bed, but got a full. There was a old tv in the room, AND THAT WAS IT! No coffee maker, ice machines were on three of the 15 or 16 floors (don't remember how many floors). Also, one of the two elevators n ever worked - reviews all the way back to 2007 say the same thing. I should have known what to expect when I saw the holes in the lobby ceiling!! There was ONE thin wash cloth and two small, thin towels for my husband and I to use and two very thin pillows and an old, thin, dirty spread on the bed. Oh, the view was nice. When I called the front desk I was put on hold after many rings, then disconnected. My husband, who worked at a hotel for 25 years, said the furniture throughout the hotel looked like the exact furnishings they had when he STARTED working. I knew I didn't want to chance eating dinner there, and was too tired to walk anywhere, so we ordered from one of the many pizza menu that were slid under our door: GAG!! How do you mess up a chef salad. It was a bad pizza on lettuce! My husband's BLT was two small slices of bacon and piles of lettuce on hoagie bread. Breakfast - (we were not told that it was to be continental) - was two choices of cereal, bagels, toast, some unidentifiable cookies, coffee and oj on flimsy paper saucers. The attendant seemed angry that she omly had a couple of dollars in her huge 2-gallon jar. My breakfast at a $16/nite London hosta was better! Believe me, any good reviews were written by the owner! LOL STAY AWAY!!!
