Days Inn Clearwater Central, Clearwater

Keep your expectations low, & expect even less...The accommodations were so awful, an hour after check-in, we checked out. Don't forget your $10 for the ROOM KEY FEE! The load bearing wall around the entry door was cracked, the floor and entryway were covered in bugs (I have pictures to prove), & the door frame was made of glass and painted black. Great way to stop an intruder with a pane of glass! When our experience was brought to the attention of the on duty manager and the fact we would not be spending our time at this establishment, we were not awarded a full refund for our reservation. We will be reporting our experience to the better business bureau. I have never felt so disgusted in my life and showered immediately upon arrival to a new hotel.

Let me first tell you about what I did like about this hotel......CHEAP, good channel selection on tv and free WIFI What I did not like about this hotel was the beds were horrible, the pillows were horrible, the bathroom needs major updating and looked horrible, the noice level was like unto a freeway running through your room at night so sleep was near impossible! Maid service was so,so, they did make the bed and put fresh towels, but left the trash on the counters and did not replenish the coffee/tea for use the next day....You could hear the people next door and their tv's and music also! I stayed there, but I would NOT go back!!!!! OH and let me add the breakfast bar was a joke!!!!!

I have stayed at this hotel for years. So I booked a 2 night stay with my wife and granddaughter. When I arrived I was booked in to a room by the pool (as requested). To my surprise the aircon was off in the room - and there was MOSS all over the room and on the carpet actually higher than the carpet!. The smell was terrible. I requested another room immediately. That room was simply drab and DIRTY. It was so bad I had paid for two nights and left the very next morning really early after just one. Another niceity was when we put milk in the fridge... but someone came in to the room while we were out and turned the fridge off! The result was instead of milk we had cheese... I have to say that this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in since 1993 when I started to come to the USA anually. Its a real pity... this hotel use to be great.

I was here March 2008 for the Phillies games and the NCAA Tournament played in Tampa and I loved this place and would sure go there again. (I havent been back since) I showed early on a rainy Friday afternoon and they were very accomodating and went out their way to have a room ready for me. Lots of nice little resteraunts in the area and a nice softball/recreational complex about a block away. I had a great time there and may go back there in March 2010. Bobby Warwick, RI

This is the cleanest hotel in Clearwater. The staff is great, the rooms are clean, great large round pool & a nice hot tub. Had a great week long vacation here. I will recommend the Days Inn Central on Gulf to Bay Blvd in Clearwater to all my friends & family.

We stayed at the Days Inn in Clearwater for four nights, We were in Clearwater for a Pro Tour Horseshoe Tournament. The rooms were very clean, the staff was very nice. We will stay there again next year.

I had a wonderful stay at the Gulf to Bay Days Inn. Evening desk clerk George went out of his way to make us feel welcome after we told him about the horrible experience we had at another Days Inn in Clearwater the night before. The Gulf to Bay Days Inn is nothing like the other one in Clearwater. They have the friendliest staff including the Clerks, housekeepers & mantainance man. Our room was very clean & the pool area was very relaxing with a tropical landscape. The breakfast was good, enough to start our day. We had dinner at Joe's Crab Shack a few blocks away & had a wonderful meal. George gave us a coupon for a free appetizer. There is a great mall down the street with a super target & many other stores. The beach is only a few miles down Gulf to Bay. I would reccomend the Days Inn on Gulf to Bay to anyone who is looking for a clean and friendly hotel with reasonable rates.

This place is the best. Rooms are great. They have the A-TEAM for a staff, they are on top of everything. Outdoor pool area is very cool. Shuffle board for the old folks. Good place for the value.

Travelers Beware!!! The pool area looked great...and then we walked into our room. It was probably the worst hotel room I have ever been in: Light fixture hanging from ceiling, strong moldy smell, stained carpet and a couch I wouldn't even go near, bugs and cobwebs on the ceiling. The website said it was recently refurbished. Ha! I refused to stay the night in this room. 2 hours later, we were finally able to move to another room that was about 10% nicer, but not a suite like we booked. One front desk person did not want to be bothered and the other tried to be helpful. Just wanted to let travelers know! I was planning on staying here for my whole trip, but found a much nicer hotel on the beach. It was worth the extra money!
