Disgusting...READ THIS!!!
By Abe, 06/30/07
Pros- nice pool, nice website-although pictures must have been from somewhere else. Cons- absolutely everything else!!! We stayed at the Winter Park Inn for a week. We were looking for an affordable place due to the fact that we were solely in Orlando for allergy treatments. What a dive! We had way cleaner rooms when we backpacked southern Mexico, and for half the price. We tried to get our money back, but they had charged us for the whole week and said they wouldn't return any of our money. Pay per night if you stay here!!! DO NOT PAY IN ADVANCE FOR A FULL WEEK! Couldn't afford two hotels for the week or we would have gone elsewhere. The carpets were sticky disgusting, my wife actually had an allergic reaction to the carpet!(we swabbed it and had it tested). It made our feet and socks turn black. Customer service was awful. Five minutes after arriving the hot water tap broke. The manager refused to come look at it on a sunday, so it ran all night. We ran out of toilet paper, and the front desk said they had none. They gave my wife a half box of kleenex! Our room looked nothing like the website showed- I mean no resemblence at all. The air conditioners stopped working for an afternoon, they blamed it on the city- but all nearby businesses we visited that day were fine. We adopted the bugs as pets after we realized they weren't leaving. Also found a grasshopper in the bathroom on top of the light fixture. We spoke to a nice hotel manager from up the street, apparently they get guests checking in regularly while complaining about their experience at the Winter Park Inn. These reports were confirmed by other business owners we met in the area.

A hard bargain.......
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/26/07
I have been to the WPI on a few occasions when I have stayed in Winter Park. It's an ok place if you've had too much to drink on Park Ave. and just need a place to crash. I wouldn't recommend it to families or picky people because of the shady atmosphere and dirty rooms. The price I paid for the rooms was well over the above displayed prices. There were shoes in the room from the previous occupants and I wouldn't touch the carpets. However, for the price and convenience it was worth it. Just don't expect maid service, lol!

Very disappointing
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/10/07
I stop during spring break to visit family in the area. It is close to shopping and was close to where I needed to be but it is a bare bones hotel. It was clean, but after dark I would not venture to the back parking area. I believe it is gravely overpriced for what it doesn't offer. The internet never did work, and it lacks for privacy on the ground floor. There is a lot of traffic at night.

WARNING!!! DON'T STAY HERE!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/24/07
One word...horrendous! Where do I begin? Dirty, bad neighborhood, old, very unprofessional staff. Even though we paid for one night, we left 3 hours after checking in and went to a real hotel. Don't be fooled by this hotel's website!

WOULD NEVER GO THERE AGAIN
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/26/06
I booked this through one of the travel sites and this hotel seemed to have great reviews HOWEVER it is NO LONGER a Ramada Inn. My husband and one of his co-workers attended a 2 day seminar in Winter Park and stayed on June 17 & 18, 2006. He said that it was the WORST place he had ever stayed. They both stated that if they had their wives with them they would NOT have stayed in this hotel. The floors were soooo nasty they took the bed spreads off the beds and laid them on the floor to walk on. He was pretty sure that he witnessed more than one crack deal take place in the parking lot.

Good for the price
By Anabel, 04/17/06
To be honest, I was impressed considering what I expected from a motel. The place was clean and there were no bugs. The shower had a nice showerhead with different types of settings and even one of those curved curtain rods (i.e. more room in the shower). The soaps and shampoos didn't smell cheap either. They offer free wireless internet, although from our experience the connection wasn't great (kept dropping off every 2 mins or so) so stick with using the complimentary computer at the lobby (which also has a color printer). The complimentary Continental breakfast also surprised me. I expected coffee along with a few mini muffins and coffee cakes, but they also had waffles, french toast, bagels, cereal, fruit, grits, boiled eggs, juice and tea. We didn't get a room with fridge and microwave because we reserved at the last minute, but we noticed that our "neighbor" did have one. There is a CVS right behind the hotel and a shopping center right after that. We only needed the room to shower and sleep, as we spent most of our day in the parks, so it served its purpose well. I wouldn't mind staying here again. However, if I factor what I spent on gas going back and forth from the parks and clubs (about 15 miles to/from Universal area) I think I might have been better spending a little more money at a hotel that was closer, and wasting less time and money on the road. Overall we were satisfied.

This summary says pets allowed --- NOT TRUE. This is a NO PETS facility. This is a great location at a great price. This is a great location at a great price.

Cheap and good location
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/21/06
The hotel was OK. The shower was so strong that if I stood in one place too long my back stung. The shower did not drain until we took out the plug entirely the second day, which left a gaping hole about 2 1/2" round. I was very conscious not to mis-step into the hole! They did not change our sheets during the entire stay - 4 days. Towels were of the usual sandpaper variety. It was nice to have a microwave and fridge. Olive Garden and other restaurants were in walking distance so we got to take back leftovers and enjoy them later with the microwave. "Continental breakfast" - HA! I went down one day to get some OJ, which was fine. My husband, however, tried biting into a donut and was unable to do so. Stick with the pre-packaged cereal I guess. Was a bit noisy right on the main road and I was woke up by a train once. Was nice to have a computer in the lobby and quickly check email while on vacation. Overall, you get what you pay for. This hotel was cheap compared to other nearby hotels. We really were here just to sleep and for that, it was fine. If you're looking to spend a lot of time at a hotel, spend a little more. Just looking for a place to crash? This one will do.

Bottom dollar - Bottom of the line
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/08/05
To be fair, I paid a fair rate and got a fair room. Although clean, the room made me feel dirty. The rug was disgusting. I would not walk on it with out shoes. A/C worked well although the room had a slight moldy smell. I will go back for the rate relunctantly only because the other hotels in the area, rate worse or are just rediculously priced.
