I will never return to this hotel

The location of this hotel was good; directly on the ocean, close to Worth Ave, and convenient to the highways. The hotel itself, however, left a lot to be desired.
It was very run down and extremely expensive to eat or drink there. I found it even more expensive to have a drink there than it was next door at the Four Seasons. The food was just so-so, definately not worth the money not to mention the 3 separate taxes they charged you (a state tax, a liquor tax, and a meal tax.) Plan on adding on another $5.00+ to each check. The air-conditioner in our room didn't work, so we were switched to another room which was smaller and had a broken lock on the slider. The patio to this room had no overhang, so the water from the air-conditioners above caused a constant stream of water falling which made it impossible to sit outside. We were then switched back to our original room after they fixed the air-conditioner and fixed the water (we had no cold water). The also charged us $95 for valet parking for 5 nights after they told me before booking this hotel that we could self park. I did fight this charge, though, and got re-imbursed. The whole experience was a nightmare and I would never return to this Hilton again. I was told on our last day there that the hotel had just been sold and whoever bought it planned on making it a 5-star hotel. It will certainly need major renovations.
