deceptive room descriptions
By ,
Reserved a queen with balcony view, room given was on the ground floor (room 108) with a 6ft x 8ft floor ground floor patio surrounded by a 5ft wall so no view unless standing on tip toes. this was also along side the fire escape from the second floor - how is this a balcony ? The busy road that the room faced when being at road level made the noise unbearable - the reason a request for a balcony room was made in the first place. When we asked for a different room we were only given the choice of a more expensive king room that we had to pay extra for as no other rooms available. Again this room was on the ground floor and this time also abutted to bar next door so until 10pm we could not even hear the in-room television due to the noise from the music next door. No appology given from staff, no offer of refund when we checked out the next day cutting short our stay in St Augustine, although we were charged the $18 daily parking fee for both days. Rooms suck big time for $300 per day - deceptive descriptions and unwillingness to help unless the customer is able to pay more money. We will never stay in a hilton every again. DO NOT STAY AT THE HILTON ST AUGUSTINE

Would definetly go back!
By ,
We just returned from our stay at this hotel with 9 family members. We were very impressed with it. It was clean, comfortable and the staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. I really can't think of one negative thing, except the room was a bit small. It was right in the middle of everything, we parked our car and didn't get it back till we had to leave. Don't hesitate booking this one. Satisfied Customer

Excellent location and atmosphere
By ,
We went on a mini-honeymoon and stayed there. It was fantastic and very inexpensive for the amenities and location. It was close to tons of restaurants, shops, bars and the beautiful Spanish fort. We can't wait to go back!

Rooms were fine, food service poor
By ,
Enjoyed layout of the hotel and housekeeping service, the food servers in the restaurant were unattentive with poor descriptions/ knowledge of menu. I think the hotel is fine but do not recommend the restaurant, there are better places to eat nearby.

Do Not Use the Valet Parking at this Hotel
By ,
I am a Hilton HHonors member who has never had an issue at any Hilton hotel brand until now. The room and the location at the Hilton in St. Augustine were fine but our car was damaged while in the care of the onsite valet (there is no other onsite parking available and dragging our luggage from another parking facility wasn't our idea of a vacation). When we picked up our car the next morning the center console cover was broken off in two pieces and the cup insert was missing. Not a big deal except that it cost over $200 to fix since the entire cup assembly and lid were all connected. The valet that morning was responsive and filled out the damage report and gave me the General Manager's contact information. I sent the repair receipt to the General Manager after I had the repairs done along with a copy of the valet report and valet ticket. A few days letter I received a letter from the hotel basically accusing us of fraud. The letter stated that the console was broken before the car was turned over to the valet. I made a reasonable effort to give the hotel a chance to make this right, but given their completely offensive and inadequate response I feel it is now appropriate to warn others about what happened. If you stay at this hotel use the valet parking at your own risk.

All around superior hotel!
By ,
This was the friendliest hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff went out of their way to make sure our stay was pleasurable. Located right in the middle of the Historical District, we never had to drive our car. The beds were super comfortable, large TV, high speed internet, great shower with large bathroom. The rooms are a little on the small side, but so very comfortable and luxurious. The hotel/room was super clean, and fresh with very nice décor. We traveled there with three kids and a teenager and all of them had a great time. (They lived in the pool)! Harry’s Restaurant is a must! There is an $ 18 charge for required valet parking.

Stay there if you can
By ,
Apparently this place is relatively new. Place is clean and the location is smack in the middle of downtown St Augustine. Definitely worth staying here if you find a good deal online.

Going back in October!
By ,
The location is wonderful we would go out on the balcony every morning with a cup of Tea & coffee look out at the bay watch the people walk by,the fish in the water(we have a picture of day break for our screen saver on our pc) and the motorcycles go by (we were down for Biketober fest)...and we are coming back this year but we are just going to ride down to Daytona...and come back everynight just to enjoy that lovely bay. the Hilton is the best place to stay in St Augustine.
