Inn on the Beach, Daytona Beach

Nice place to stay. Will be going back soon. Only thing i found wrong was needed new mattress in the room we stayed in other than that all good.

Its a wonderfull value for what you pay. We wanted a pool, we wanted a bar on site, and we wanted to be on the beach. We got exactly what we wanted. No frills, but free breakfast. Close to shops and right in front of good public transportation. All rooms have an ocean view, but the door to the ocean view needed some help staying closed. People were very friendly. Not to much to do around the hotel, needed to travel several blocks to get to the mall and different restaurants. Over all a good value for the price.

They let us check in early, that part went very smooth and fast. Got up to our room (the king suite) and WOW not what we expected. The pictures they have on there site, are not what the rooms look like!!! There was mold on the sliding glass door, grease all over the kitchen area, the bathroom was dirty,toliet wouldn't even flush, the couch was all ripped up, there was a nasty strong smell coming from the HEAT, thats right the air did not work, there were bugs in the bedroom, the kitchen table that was in there was falling apart it only had three legs, the furniture on the balcony well there was no table just two chairs. This place is VERY runned down, you can tell that they have not kept up with the maintance. We decided that we were not gonna stay there. We went down stairs and asked to talk to a manager told him our thoughts and feelings, how the room was and how the pictures are very misleading. He told us that they are in the middle of a renovation, and that they only have a couple rooms done and he would see if there was one open for us to have. We told him no, we just want our money back. They said it would take a couple days for the credit for the one night hold to be back on my card and that we wouldnt see a charge for the other 3nights. Well, we came home and two days later I log into our bank account and I see that they credited my card for the one night, but CHARGED my card for the other 3nights. I called when I saw that, and the guy was trying to tell me that we stayed there for four nights. I was like, excuse me you need to check your records because we were not even checked into the facilty for more than a hour. But, overall they credited my card the FULL refund. But, honestly I dont even think i will stay there when they get all the renovations completed. The view of the ocean was wonderful, but for the price there I would of paid the xtra 50.00 a night for somewhere nicer in the same location. Even though that this place is pretty decent in price, even if it was 15.00 a night I don't think that I would stay there for even that! I saw the reviews and I was like, well maybe we could get lucky and get a "perfect room", yea right, it was a joke. So we ended driving 70miles into Kissimmee and enjoyed our vacation there. Yes we paid more, but we love that area and we just wanted to try something different in Florida and it kicked us in our butts!

yahoo should get rid of the really old comments and reviews what happened in 2005 is not helpfull for those looking for a hotel in 2008.i stayed at the inn on the beach in april 2008. the place is very old, decor out of the 70,s but it was clean and the view is great.the hotel staff were very helpfull.what i paid per nite was far less than a room in my local area for a non ocean view.the only real complaint i had was that the pool was advertized as heated and was not.pool area and deck were clean and well maintained. again if you are looking for a fancy updated decor than look else where but you'll pay for those updates if your looking for a cheap but clean room on the beach this is a good pick.

The Inn is located in a great location with parking and right on the beach. They have continential breakfast (we stayed 3 nights, the first 2 mornings, we got to make our own waffles, got bagels, english muffins, oranges, milk, orange juice, apple juice, coffee, grits, oatmeals, hot chocolate, tea... etc. the 3rd morning, there is only individual packed docnuts and the drinks), great swimming pools, a kiddy pool, a hot tub, stairs access to the beach. The inn can used some upgrades and renovation but for the price and the time that you will be in there. It is a great place to stay.

The check in was fine. Room was ok at first. Later noticing it needed a new TV. (louder than the planes taking off) No Iron I asked 3 times and by the third I was informed that they had no more. For being advertised as newly remodled the only thing that looks like it is the pool area which was great. The bar was ok the owner and Pat the bartender where wonderful. They gave us an extended chek out which was nice. The girl at the complimentary breakfast should of had her hair pulled back. If you are used to more detail put on you as a cutomer go somewhere else.

Overpriced, old, run down hotel, people were nice but the place is just an old hotel that I think is waiting to be torn down and made into condos. Too bad great views from room and great location. Would be O.K. if it was $39.00 but $79.00 is a ripoff. Stayed 8/07.

I've been there several times when I was a truck driver with my boyfriend. I loved going there. It felt like home to me and I really loved the pool! The location is great as well. I have been to several other hotel's that were in the same price range but non compared to, The Inn On The Beach!

What happened to this place?????? I used to think this was the best place to go for vacation. I have visited here every year for the last 5 years. This was the best place to stay for the money! I stayed here March of 06. They were able to give me a room with no reservation. That was the best part. Their bar in front of the pool was closed the whole time I was there.Because somebody "quit" Was this person the only one who worked there? The T.V. Reception was poor. And their was no HBO. One elevater was not working at all. Their workout room was very run down. ( Some equipment was broke. ) They need to hire a new manager to get this place back in running condition. Until that happens, I will not be back here again!

This was a great hotel. You get a veiw of the beach no matter what room you are in. The rooms are very clean and you get great service.
