Just OK
By ,
Here is how our stay went. Arrived at check-in and was greeted by friendly staff behind the front desk. While leaving the lobby the concierge approached me and offered us ten dollar tickets to Arabian Nights. I asked what the catch was and he said that a sister hotel to the Seralago had just opened up and so they were extending this special offer to any of their visitors that were willing to go over and have a tour of the new hotel as a way for them to try and get their guests to stay at the new place the next time they were in town. He clearly said that it would take no more than two hours and that we would also be fed breakfast during that two hours. As we go to Kissimmee at least five times a year I signed us up as I am always interested in what hotel options are available. When we arrived in the morning we discovered that the concierge had completely lied to us. It was not a sister hotel that we were at, but a time share scam. We arrived at eight AM so that we would still be able to enjoy our day after, but instead of being two hours, as promised, we did not get done there until after noon! As we had to be to the Arabian Nights place at four to get good seats and see the pre-show the lie he told us successfully ruined the first day of our short vacation as we essentially had no time to actually go to a park and enjoy ourselves before we would have to leave. I did learn from the time share agent that they pay the hotels between four and six hundred dollars every time they send a couple over to them. Apparently the Seralago is lying to their customers in order to make money off of us. As I already pointed out we go to the Kissimmee area at least five times a year and so selling out this potential repeat business has caused them to lose more money than they made on that deal. Now for the actual hotel and room. The room was clean and acceptable. The bathroom was tiny but also clean, with no visual mold or mildew. The microwave was extremely small and does not have a rotating tray so it took forever for our food to heat up in, however we were still quite glad to have it. There is no coffee makers in the room, I just assumed there would be since there was a fridge and microwave, but there isn't. Our TV worked but was extremely old, still a curved screen analog. I point out that it worked not because I'm anti-analog, but because I heard from two other guests that they had to have the TVs replaced in their rooms because they were broken. The beds, although too stiff for me did seem to be rather new. With all the bed bug issues going on in that area I make it a point to check the mattresses for bed bugs before we bring anything into the room. The mattresses were very clean and like I said almost new looking. The pool area was interesting. Although looking like a very child friendly hotel, the pool goes from four feet to over nine feet with only a few feet at the "shallow" end that my eleven year old could touch the bottom. As my daughter can swim this wasn't too big of an issue, but I just find it peculiar that small child with iffy swimming skills are either stuck in the kiddie pool, something my daughter always hated, or have to be accompanied into the main pool. This is one of those things that could be a pro to some and a con to others though and so I'm just mentioning it so anyone reading this will be aware of it. My main disappointment was the "hot" tub. The last night there my husband and I were incredibly sore from several days of walking the parks and decided to go soak our muscles in the hot tub while our daughter played in the main pool. Upon arriving we discovered that the hot tub was the same temperature as luke warm bath water and that it would be over twenty minutes before maintenance would be there to turn it up. All in all our stay was OK. We booked it as a secret hotel deal and so paid way less than the normal cost and were happy enough. If we had paid full price I would have felt ripped off.

Find another place
By ,
This was by far the worst hotel experience in my life. It began with wrong directions by the front desk. They took us 45 minutes to the east rather than the west. After we arrived and unpacked we found that our door would not lock - the key card did not work. We packed up the kids and our stuff and moved to another room at 10 p.m. Two days later our key card wouldn't let us in. Back to the front desk. Another day later we returned to our room after being at Disney all day only to find that the door was open. Key card did not work and the lock was not turned on. Room was unlocked and unsecure the entire day! Toilet ran all night. Neighbors kept us up by talking outside our room until 1:30 a.m. We called the front desk 4 times and were told they were taking care of it. Never happened. I spoke with Joe at the front desk. He joked that I didn't know his name so he would be off the hook for all the issues. Joe, I remember your name and the crappy service we received. Finally at check out we spoke with a manager who said she would call us with a resolution. She never called us and never logged all the issues we encountered. We will never stay here again. Oh, I didn't mention the drug deal going on near the pool or the clientele this place attracts. Save up your money and find a better place down the street.

Free shuttle to Magic Kingdom!
By ,
We chose this hotel because we are a family of 5 and it is difficult to find hotel rooms with proper bedding for the whole family. My husband & I shared the King size bed while our three kids slept in the "fort" with bunk beds and a single bed. We were planning on driving to Magic Kingdom for the day, however we learned that Seralago provides a free shuttle! So obviously we took advantage of that. Pool was nice, but a little crowded. Breakfast buffet was average, but a good price, so overall a good value. Wasn't pleased about the Time-share sales lady at the front door in the lobby. She was very high pressure and does not want to take no for an answer, (I was just asking a question about the hotel, not realizing she did not work for this hotel) so beware. Clean and a good value for the money. We would stay here again.

Banished to the Dog houses out back !
By ,
First of all this hotel's website is extremely outdated. Our room certainly didn't look much like what is featured in their pictures. Hotel is old. Beds are in desparate need of replacement. Tossed and turned all night. Sore from springs and bed edges. Carpets need to be professionally cleaned or replaced. Fixtures coming loose. Pet rooms are the (Standard Deluxe) rooms. Pets are not allowed in suites or upgraded rooms even with the large fee they charge. The Pet rooms are musty and not welcoming and LARGE non refundable fee is taken at check in. (Larger than the room charge) Staff is nice enough but the place is a dive.

HORRIBLE,NASTY WILL NOT STAY AGAIN!!!!
By ,
i'm going to make it short. The room we got was nasty as soon as you walked into the room it smelled disgusting. It smelled moldy, as we were about to unload our belongings i noticed another smell it was coming from the bed spread it was just plain disgusting it smelled as if it got wet and just left there. At that point i wasn't happy at all. As my daughter went to the bathroom she comes out running shouting that there is a spider in the bathroom. Boy, that was just the icing on the cake. I told my husband to check us out at that very moment. we left so quick i didn't even look back. I was very disappointed.

Exellent Service and Facilities
By ,
We went to the Seralago Hotel this past April 2009. I didn't know what to expect for the price. I was so amazed. The Seralago is one of the best family hotels that 192 road has. It is big, spacious, and filled with many amenities. I loved the pizzeria, general store, and main pool facilities. The rooms were spacious, simple but very clean. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and can't wait to go back. Great, great service! They always left the rooms cleans and with extra towels. Totally recommend this hotel.

Tower of Terror
By ,
My initial daytime impression was that of a quiet old, run down Bates type Hotel from the 50's. Once the sun sets the place really comes alive with insect and human life. The rooms were old, smelly and dirty. Sleep was difficult between obnoxious patrons yelling and partying ALL night, security staff running around after them, sheriffs police racing around the parking lot and Oh did I mention the Swat team and search helicopter flying over head for hours. All this within 48 hrs. That's about the time that I ran for the exit. We had more action at the Seralago than all the Orlando amusement parks combined. The walls were so thin I felt that these folks were running through my room. This place makes the real "Tower of Terror" look like a kiddie ride. Probably the best thing about this hotel is it's location which might be better served by tearing this dump down and starting over.

Incredible Price/Performance!
By ,
Location is great, VERY laid back and kid-friendly with LOTS to do nearby and on-site - pools, playgrounds, beach volleyball court (doubles as a GIANT sandbox when not in use). Rooms are well-furnished, convenient, and I still can't believe the LOW prices!

No real Complaints
By ,
The good things about the hotel: The pool was large and clean and very nice for the kids and the landscaping around the hotel was nice and well maintained. For the price we were able to get two adjoining rooms for less than the price of one elsewhere, which meant that we had plenty of room in the hotel for our family of six.The rooms were also comfortable. They also have family rooms with bunk beds which would be good for smaller families. The breakfast was good and a good value, except check the menu prices before ordering drinks. The staff was pretty nice, we were in the arcade one day, and the person who came in to fix the machines gave my kids extra tokens and an extra stuffed animal from the crane game. I also liked the pinball machine, it was in good playing condition which kept me entertained. It was well situated, close to highway access, Disney was a short drive, we did not use the shuttle, universal wasn't too bad either if you avoided peak times and took the right route(Straight out of the parking lot, then left on the parkway to I-4). There were several restraunts and shops within walking distance, and Sam's Club and Super target were a short drive, which combined with the in-room fridge and microwave allowed us to save some money on food. The only negatives were that the hotel did show its age somewhat, so while they tried to clean and maintain the rooms, they did not seem pristine, like most newer hotels. Also, the cable TV only had kids and news channels plus espn and the broadcast networks. Also, the rooms were not soundproofed well, we could hear highway noise until about 10 or 11pm.
