I came to Homestead, Florida from Pittsburgh, PA with my boyfriend who took a short-term job at the local Power Plant. We spent 3 weeks at The Floridian, before moving in to a Condo, and were VERY happy with the Accommodations, Helpful Staff and overall Excellent Service. Our room was surprisingly spacious, and included a Mini-Fridge, Microwave, Ironing-Board/Iron, and Hairdryer. All in good working condition. The Pool area was always spotless, with several small Tiki-Hut style table seating areas, and plenty of lounge chairs for catching some rays. --- The Maintenance, Housekeeping and Front-desk Staff were all extremely Courteous, and attended to our every need. The Service at this Hotel is it's greatest asset! GREAT PEOPLE and GREAT SERVICE. --- Please Note: This Hotel is currently under NEW MANAGEMENT and is currently (October 2012) undergoing many changes and upgrades, including adding a brand new Work-out Facility, Outdoor Patio Area and Meeting Room. --- The Location is FANTASTIC! It is directly across the street from a great Strip-mall. Just a quick 2-minute walk across the street and you've got just about everything you could possibly need: a Grocery store, Pharmacy, Dollar Store, UPS store, Hair and Nail Salons, Fast Food Restaurants, Pet Supermarket, Clothing stores, and more. Other nearby locations are Southland Mall and thePrime Outlets, and Miami is only 40 minutes away and it's only a 3-hour drive to Mile-0 Key West! --- I highly recommend this Hotel. Don't be afraid to ask for anything you need... They will take care of you, at The Floridian. :)

You are getting what you pay for. Needs updating. Would not take family back there.

We called to make reservations. No problem. We asked about high speed internet in the room - Yes we have WIFI in the rooms. We arrived and checked in. Room was OK. Tried the internet and found it to be slow. Tried to check email and it crashed. Went to service desk. Oh, yes, we are having a problem but it will be fixed soon. Went out for a while came back. Still no internet. Service desk - Oh? you are having problems? No one has reported any problems. We will have the day crew call in the repair man. 1 night - no internet. Day 2 - Returned after being out all day. Checked email - CRASH!!!! Called front desk. Well, the repair man just left and said everything was OK. We will check. Later that night. Check email- CRASH! Front desk - Oh? you are having problems? No one has reported any problems. This went on Thursday, Friday, Saturday - when we checked out on Sunday - still no internet in the rooms. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU HAVE ANY NEED FOR INTERNET.

The room felt grimy, stains on the carpet. The place needs completely renovating. The staff were very nice though and the breakfast was good.

Our stay at The Floridian hotel was a horrible experience. We looked up pricing prior to booking, on their website they claimed to have rooms for $59 - $69. In reality the prices are almost DOUBLE, with no explanation. Our room was fairly clean but had a view of the parking lot from the hotel next door where there were low lifes coming and going at all hours, we didn't feel safe staying there or leaving our vehicle in the parking lot. The front desk staff were not friendly at all. I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone!

This is the best place for the price. Also, we were there during the race and they did not raise the price on us for the weekend as other hotels in the area do. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were decent. Wi-fi doesn't work so well on the north side of the hotel though.

Hotel help very good. Rooms are really bad. Blankets are as old as the hotel. When we stayed there is June it was extreamly hot, but we could not use the pool because they were waiting for a new filter. The help was it has been two weeks and still waiting. Do not recommend this place.

We thought it was a nice, quiet, clean place to stay. We checked out a couple of other motels before picking this place. Glad we chose this one.

vrey nice and quiet,clean.I will come agin when im on vacation and i will bring not just my family but my friends too.I'll tell my boss so when he comes to town he'll have a nice to take his family to stay.
