A Great Getaway
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/21/08
Great loacation, close to beach and restaurants. Efficency was clean, with all the necessary pots, pans, silverware etc. Pool is relaxing, and great place to relax, read, and enjoy a cooling dip. Mick & Patti are the best ever, always helpful, always smiling. Have gone there 3 years in a row now,and have enjoyed every visit.

a home away from home by melissa reed
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/04/08
i stayed here a couple of years ago.this place is awesome and the people that own it are very nice.i have a dog and they let you bring your pets.the pool is very pretty right down to the singing tropical frogs.the rooms are nice and the people are willing to help you out with whatever you need.i will definitely be visiting again in the near future.the location is good and a lot of attractions are close by.there is a slight walk to the ocean but its not that far.the pool is great and they will give you towels and chairs if you want.also miami is only a short drive if you want to go to south beach and get some nightlife.there are some good restaurants around the area and overall fun things to do.some great shopping to. great place great overall experience.keep up the good work tropi rock cause you rock.melissa reed

Best Place Ever
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/17/07
The Tropi Rock is the best place I have ever stayed at! It is very quiet and enjoyable. The owners, Mick and Patty are very nice and they will do anything to make your stay more enjoyable. Their dog, Ollie is so cute and doesn't bite. Their kids are awesome! If you have kids that are teenagers come and visit them, they are really friendly. The rooms were okay, but you never stay in them because there is so much to do their! Every year my family goes down to Florida and we never really have found a nice place to stay, but this one is the one we liked. We are going back every year! I never want to leave and when it is time to leave I never want to. The beach is a two minute walk and you will find the beach amazing. I rate this place a fiver star and I totally recomend it!

Good Value
By Silvertown, 01/26/07
We stayed at tropi rock in Dec. 06. Liked the experiance, staff was very friendly. Rooms were comfortable, but baths could use some remodeling. Last night of our stay there were a group of people who were very loud so it make our stay lass enjoable. In overal it was a great experiance.

Great locally owned hotel with a unique "south Florida" feel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/01/06
I always try to track down unique hotels during my travels: Something more fun than the "usual" hotel chain in a moderate price range ($90 or less). The Tropirock definitely qualifies! The building itself harkens to the "spring break" heyday of Ft. Lauderdale. Its a 1970's styled building which the owner (who lives on-site) has personalized with "bed and breakfast" type amenities not normally found at hotels. Each room is uniquely decorated and spacious. Ours included a kitchenette complete with a full-sized fridge. Also on site is a gym, internet access, a collection of VHS movies you can borrow, and a very nice pool area (at which I wish I'd had have more time to hang out). Friendly service from the owner came without charge! All this plus you are just 2 blocks from the fine Ft Lauderdale beaches. Bottom line: The Tropirock is a gem!

Perfect place to relax, and enjoy everything around it.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/22/05
Very quiet and peaceful. If you are looking to get away from the rat race, this place will help you unwind, and relax. The hosts Mike & Pat, are great people, and treat you like family. Don't believe I could have enjoyed myself as much without their help in finding resturants, and their timely tips about the Ft.Lauderdale area.

If you like to sleep in filth
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/18/05
The tropi rock is not worth more than $20 a night. Our room was very dirty and the bathroom was disgusting. The website is so misleading, if you do decide to stay here, do me a favor and take pictures to post on the web. People deserve to see what they are really paying for.
