Anchorage Resort & Yacht Club Condo Assn, Key Largo

This is an all-time favorite! Relaxing atmosphere, helpful staff, lovely place that is updated often. The view from the balcony does it for me! Porpoises playing in that gorgeous turquoise water. . .great restaurant next door. . .music on the weekends from across the creek. . .close to so much in the way of dining or fishing/snorkeling excursions. But I could stay right there and be perfectly content. Pool, jacuzzi, grills, tropical breezes. . .LOVE Anchorage!

We went down for Thanksgiving weekend. Bernadette, Yvette, and Sandra in the office are the nicest people, and we are very pleasant to deal with. The rooms are clean with a great views of the sunset over the bay. (Plus, everything is screened in so you don't have to worry about mosquitos!) The docks were active with boats, and many new and interesting people were around. Gilberts, across the creek, provided some good music in the evening to listen to while sitting on the porch, and the restaurant next door provides good food and entertainment also, along with boat rentals and a sunset cruise on the 102' pirates galleon, " Queen Anne's Revenge II." All in all, a wonderful weekend and a really fine bunch of people!

My husband and I (both in our late 50's) have stayed at the Anchorage twice now as a timeshare exchange and would definitely stay again. Although you must travel a distance to do the "touristy" things, if you want rest and relaxation, the Anchorage is the place. The view is great, the Tiki Bar across the channel has great burgers and Winn-Dixie is right down the road for those who like making use of the kitchen. We made the 1 1/2 hour drive to Key West twice during our week-long stay, but the rest of the time, enjoyed kicking back and just reading and enjoying the view. We appreciate "the owners" who have been coming for years and help keep the resort the type of place it is ... friendly, reasonable, and peaceful. I don't think we would go there if it wasn't.

we just returned from 7 wonderful days. the big bedroom, porch and great kitchen was more than we had expected. all the staff were wonderful and made sure we were comfortable. we will come back here again

Well I will say that we had a great view very beautiful looking out from the porch. Was far away from everything had to do alot of driving and spending money in gas. Also wasn't very clean my daughters feet were pitch black from being in there for 5 minutes. Extremeley small bathroom like being on a cruise ship. We went to the grocery store spent a lot of money came back and relized that this room didn't have an oven, none of the rooms did. That's kind of something you need when you have chidren with you. The pool was nice though except for some parents that didn't watch their children and we couldn't really have fun with our 1 year old, cause all the children were running everywhere and jumping on top of us. Oh and another thing they don't offer any kind of maid service and no washer and dryers in the rooms we had to pay a pretty penny to wash our laundry. Then we had to strip down the beds and clean the place before we left after spending all kinds of money to stay there. Just wasn't good will never go back.

went over for reservation the new front desk people are not very friendly when you ask questions about reservations and prices they need to improve in that important aspect i lake the resort a lot , I hope this coment help to improve costomer service in the future Hernandez family

The cleanliness, accomodations, and wonderful friendly service along with a great value proved to be an excellent choice while looking throughout the Keys. We didn't hear any highway noise, which may be due to a lower floor. We liked so well we ended up buying a time share at an extremely affordable price!We were also appreciative not to be in a huge condo with rows of seats upon the water and a very personable clientele.

My wife and I went there as an exchange thru Resort Condominums Inc. Loved the place so much that we bought a week of timeshare there. We always look foreward to going there for our week every spring. It's a nice clean resort and the rooms are great. Everyone has a balcony overlooking Blackwater Sound, a part of the Everglades Park and you are close to the mainland while still being on the Keys.

Also a wounderful place to stop on your way to the Keys by boat. Bar and restruants within walking distance. We bought a week there to get better rates. We stop there several times a year and stay as long as a week.

This place started off as a sweet little retreat that turned into a nightmare!! The facility is nice, loved the location and the marina. The problem is with the elderly "owners" (and by owners I mean those who have interest in this facility as time shares) who have zero tolerance for children and anyone who wants to stay awake past 8:00 p.m. The pool closes at sunset(what?)and aparently the whole facility and it is strictly enforced. My seven year old was inappropriately screamed at by a complete stranger who thought it was inconceivable that a young boy would be tempted to God-forbid pull up his crab trap to take a peak. Also, the entire complex is covered with little white rocks that once again hold an interest for small children to skip across the body of water backing up to the property, this is also seen as horrible behavior! Our party consisted of five families, all of which were scrutinized at one point or another. I will say the manager was accomodating and acted professional in dealing with such a conflict. I suggest that this facility advertise to seniors who need a good rest.
