All in all It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at SweetHotelDeals. N e t They usually have some pretty good deals on there.

this hotel is up at the top of best strategic locations.....beautiful lobby.....rooms are quite ordinary but who cares when you are that close to everything.....pay the extra money and get the breakfast, it is a hot breakfast buffet with everything, omlets/waffles made to order, fresh fruit, cereal, grits, french toast, etc......kids eat free...this great breakfast kept us satisfied for the better part of the day....my son enjoyed the indoor pool......staff was very helpful and friendly....and great restaurants and shops close by

we have 7 yr old son -- everything was good. Request a King bed and roll in. . . .we think our i-pod was stolen by the Valet -- montor your things in your car.

I just loved this place for many diffrent reasons as a place for short walking distances and for the wonderful rooms and resturants for a woman like me

The JW Marriott is a great place to stay in D.C., especially if you are there to see the Capital area. For the price, it is, hands down, the best location for Capital area adventures. Within easy walking distance of the White House, the Federal Triangle, and most of the Smithsonian museums, you can't beat the location. Everything is a short bus circuit ride away as well, if you're not up to the walk. Rarely have I stayed in hotels that have such well trained staff. The hotel has been there for many years, but is recently updated. Yes, the elevators are different from the norm (no buttons inside, press your floor and the LED tells you which elevator to take), but you can figure this out if you have an IQ above 80. Yes, the driveway is on 14th street, not Pennsylvania Ave., but again, with an IQ above 80... All in all, we could not find fault with this hotel. Our family of three stayed one night in a double to do the Smithsonian's the next day, but we ate well (M&S was awesome), enjoyed the hotel pool and Starbucks, slept very well in ultra comfortable beds, and were treated very well. The excercise room also appeared to be perfectly adequate. On arrival, our coffeemaker did not work. We called to have it replaced. Within a few minutes, staff brought us extra cups. I replied that I did not need extra cups, but a coffeemaker, In less than 2 minutes (really) I had one with profuse apologies. We had no other complaints, but if we did, I am confident that the hotel would have responded beautifully. I would definitely stay here again. I would not want to stay here for more than a day or two; Homewood Suites by Hilton would be better for that. This is also a great alternative to the more common Capital area Conference hotels.

The staff was extremely helpful and the lobby was amazing! But, the rooms are tiny and NOTHING is complimentary. No free internet here. What a disappointment! One would think that a hotel like this would offer more in the way of customer satisfaction. My family will not stay at another Marriott when we travel. The overall disappointments here outweigh the good points.

Found the hotel at Washington DC Vacation Packages , it is a great Washington DC Luxury Htoels and I hope to go back soon!

From the concierge, front desk, health club and Well Being Spa we had continued high quality service in a great location. The rooms are newly remodeled and much more modern. There is a Starbuck's in the lobby and we received the best massages we have ever had in the spa! The indoor pool is perfect if you are a swimmer or have kids!

Exquisite experience from the beginning: Bellmen who stood there staring at me as I unloaded my bags from the taxi and carried them in. Room service people who answer "Umm hmmm" on the phone rather than speaking to you. When my room key card stopped working and I had to go to the front desk for another, the receptionist acted as if it was my fault (complete with lecture). Then there was the bizzarre elevator systme, but at least that helped me meet new people; the first comment of anyone getting into the elevator, or waitingendlessly for one, was about their irritation. This evening I met a guy on the elevator who said he had been trying for 10 minutes to get to the lobby to buy a bottle of water.

The location was perfect and the staff went out of their way to assist us with information on ski packages, tours and shopping. The service was great! The complimentary breakfast was a real treat and a money saver. We met other guests from all over the United States and enjoyed visiting with them.
