Motel 6 - Vernon, Vernon Rockville

While my Mother was in town for Mother's Day, I reserved this room for her as she is a senior citizen on a fixed income and most of the other hotels in town were booked full for the weekend and this hotel does have an attractive price. The first morning she complained to the desk on how the noise from the windows were very noisy as the window was obviously broken with a wonderful wind whipping sound in her room all evening. Bed hard as a rock. Cleanliness was well...should of known better when I saw the stairs going up to the room that looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. Let's just say she stayed there for 4 nights and the hairs on the floor in the bathroom (that weren't hers, she has red hair, they were black) were in the corners on the floor her entire stay which means they don't clean the floors at all or very well. She also discovered a used paper plate with food on it in the microwave when she kept smelling something and found it. Really? This place really needs to have a chat with the cleaning service they have and fire them or retrain them as it was truly one of the worse kept rooms EVER!!! I will never recommend this hotel to anyone and I've never posted anything online for a rating but felt this was necessary to warn anyone to spend the money or stay in a filthy dump!

It could have been a lot worse... The bed was really hard, but sleepable. House keeping came rather early (9AM on average). There was no clock in the room and the phone did not work (it was just for decoration I guess). I wouldn't go so far as to recommend this Motel 6 to anyone else, however, if you NEED a place to sleep and can't find any other available place, it works.
