Best Conference and Banquet Center
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/6/11
It has a totally different look then others in the area....Very neat and very warming....I loved the space that it provided....It has everything in it...Confererence centers, Banquet Center, Meeting Space, wifi, event planners, wonderful infrastructure, ample parking space.........I would certainly recommend Matrix Conference and Banquet center to everyone..... Have a look yourself at their website..... Regards, Jamie..

Place needs work.....
By GlenT, 4/26/10
If this hotel needed renovations in 2008, you can only imagine what it's like now in 2010. Saturday night and the hotel seemed like a ghost town. But then again, that may have more to do with Danbury than the hotel itself. However, although the room was clean, the curtains were ripped, alarm clock did not work and the walls & doors need a coat of paint. This is a decaying building, questionably rated as a three-star hotel. It was worth the $50 per night paid on Priceline.com, but the amenities usually afforded other comparable-class hotels are lacking. Prepare to pay an additional $10/day for internet service. Surprisingly, they do not charge for parking. Not many quality restaurants in the area...choose this hotel carefully.

Not the Best
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/14/09
The website offers AAA rooms for $75, but we were told we couldn't get this price due to "availability". We paid $99. Yet, the large hotel was almost empty. Room was nice and clean but no soap in bath. Electricity went off during the night so we were late for a meeting. The buffet breakfast was horrible. Scrambled eggs were hard. Staff was pleasant.

Perfect for our needs
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/19/08
We stayed at this hotel as we had a wedding to attend in Danbury. We got a great rate and therefore came a day head of time so that we wouldn't have to rush. The hotel does need some renovation but it is clean and the staff very very friendly. We asked for a king room which was honored and found the room to be spacious and comfortable. The tv was on the older side but worked fine. That first night we decided to have dinner and since it was raining, we ate in the hotel's restaurant. Both of us were very pleased with our meals....not your typical hotel dish but rather creative and tasty. We didn't use the pool but my husband used the gym which had everything he needed. Overall, it was a nice experience.

Smells bad
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/7/08
I ended up going somewhere else. We went to the fourth floor (pool is located there). There were water stains and damage to hallway ceilings, as well as a clear presence of mold. The hotel smelled awful in the vestibule and "perfumey" in the lobby. This is an old building and it smells as such. I cannot say anything about the room or service, because we left. This place is in dire need of renovation.

not 4 stars
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/21/08
Wouldn't rate it 4 stars, but it definitely deserves 3. Easy to locate from the highway, room was available and ready upon arrival. Room was stocked with towels, but a request for more conditioner never came. Unfortunately, there was no trendy things, nightlife, or even choices of restaurants around. Good for students, not ideal for couples looking to go out. we also paid for internet service so we could find things to do

DON'T EVER STAY HERE!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/27/07
Upon check-in at 7:30 PM, we went to our room which was a disaster area. When we tried to call the front desk, the phone in the room was dead. We went back down to the front desk with our luggage and were given another room which had at least been made up. However, there were no washcloths in the bathroom. It took an hour to get them. At 4:30 AM, the toilet wouldn't flush (no water in the tank)!! The front desk staff acted as if they could care less. On top of everything else, I was charged $75 on my credit card and when I called for an expanation, they couldn't provide one. Save yourself the aggravation and stay somewhere else - this is just awful.
