Poor Staff
I thought the room was very nice and clean but I paid extra for a room with a view of the mountains. I called to confirm my reservations and to make sure that It was a room with a view. The staff said that they can't reserve any rooms, it is what is available when you check in. The room I stayed in was room 156, the view was blocked by a storage shed and also a big bush just out the window. I tried to change the room at the front desk, I could tell that he didn't want to help me and said that the other rooms are reserved (when I called they said no reserving rooms) after about 5 minutes a lady who was listening from a room behind the counter came out to help, she tryed to help. The man named Mike was being difficult with her as well, and seemed to be mad because she butted in. The only rooms Mike came up with was, with a extra charge of an substantial amount. I booked the hotel in advance on the internet to get a discount. I even asked for a standerd room without a view which had as much of a view, and the staff (Mike) said the cost would be more then what I'm paying for the room I already have (full price) I wanted to go to another Hotel but, the staff (Mike) said that I couldn't get a refund because I booked the reservation on line. I have always stayed at best western all over the U.S and was never treated like this. I have had to change rooms before at other Best Western for one reason or another (smokey, dirty, noisy room) and was even up graded many times with no extra charge. The staff of Best Western have always went over and beyond to make sure I was happy with my stay at Best Western. The room was nice but the bed was uncomfortable. The bed had a mattress pad on the top that made it seem good at first but, after sleeping on it I could feel the mattress sagging in the middle, it was probably old. Not a good night sleep.
