Worth it!
By Steven, 07/15/09
Via Hotwire I paid $62 per night at the Millennium. I am sure I would be disappointed if I paid the entire $159 that they were asking. However, the rooms were moderate in size but the bed was super-comfy/clean while the grounds and location were fantastic. A few minutes walk will get you to some fantastic restaurants and entertainment. A 45 minute drive will get you to the breath-taking Rocky Mountain National Park. We didn't spend a lot of time at the hotel, but all-in-all thought it was a wonderful location close to shopping, food, and fun! I would encourage people visiting Boulder to choose this hotel (but not for full price of course)!

Cleaned out our personal checking account--and this was AFTER a huge discussion at check out this morning so this would not happen but it did...now we are to wait up to three weeks to get our money back?? We're here in the Denver Airport?? How are we to get home now?? Thanks-but no thanks to stay here or even recomend this to anyone. Bad JUJU!

horribe experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/25/07
We had blocked a bunch of rooms at the Millennium for a wedding. Before setting up the block we took a tour to see the rooms we would be given. They showed us a very nice looking room, very spacious, with a great view. So we went ahead and blocked them. When we showed up a couple months later for the actual wedding, we checked in and were given a small room back in an attached building back in the middle of nowhere. It was like a 5 minute walk through strange hallways to get there from the lobby. It was old and grungy. The parking lot hadn't had the snow plowed and wasn't lit. We got into the elevator with a load of luggage and it went up about a foot with the doors open. Then it slammed back down and the doors shut, and we finally made it to the 3rd floor. We went back down to the desk to get moved to one of the nice rooms we were shown. The guy at the desk refused to admit that any rooms were nicer or larger than others. They refused to do anything about it at all. He said he would let us speak to a manager in the morning but there was nothing he could do. We got a terrible night's sleep. On the bed, we could hear the neighboring room's conversation as though they were in the same room. Our room looked over a loading dock. All night long we heard the sounds of truck backup alarms, forklifts, trucks, etc. It sounded like we were in the middle of a UPS facility. In the morning, after about 3 minutes in the shower we ran out of hot water. After that we immediately checked out. We paid a fee for early checkout and happily moved down the street a couple blocks to the Marriott. It was almost the same price and was night and day better. Basically, it was a horrible experience. Luckily, we and all the other guests for the wedding that were booked here were able to move to the Marriott and ended up enjoying the stay.

Save your money!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/16/07
Just checked out of the place. Was told it was 3.5 stars when I booked on Hotwire. The room was dirty, AC sounded like a Mac Truck, they had NO dresser for clothes...only a cabinet, and they charge for everything including phones, internet, etc. Bad value! Management did not offer to resolve anything and spent 30 minutes trying to talk to Hotwire. Flushed them both and booked at the Homewood Suites down the road, which was very nice.

Avoid this dump!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/06/07
This was my worst hotel experience ever. We were there for graduation weekend. We prepaid $285.00 per night for three of us...in a "superior" room. When we arrived the clerk said we would get a room with one king bed for that. A rollaway would be "extra". I reminded the clerk that we had booked a room for three people.... I then spoke to the manager, he said they were out of rollaways and we could buy a blowup mattress at target....when I said that was unacceptable they finally put us in a room with two beds. Dirty, old, hasnt been updated in 30+ years. Stay away from this hotel..we saw the Marriott while we were there....tons nicer and cheaper!

I agree it's not worth the price
By Lee G, 05/20/07
There are a lot of nice facilities at this hotel, including tennis courts, lap pool, basketball court, easy access to bike/jogging trails, restaurant, sports bar, and cigar bar. That said, the rooms aren't anything spectacular. There seems to be a charge for everything, including internet in your room and even 1-800 calls. Extended stay visitors will find there are only two washers and dryers for a relatively large hotel. There is an outside area for dining that is very nice. The sports bar would often run out of one or two of their beers on draft and even once cut off the happy hour early. In general the staff is friendly and get things taken care of. They offer a very good shuttle service to local attractions.

MILLENIUM HOTEL in Boulder IS A DUMP -- STAY AWAY
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/04/06
I stayed at the Millenium in Boulder, CO for two nights last week (6/30 and 7/1/06). That is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. It was dirty, dusty, and a very unfriendly staff. I would rate the hotel as a 1 star hotel. IT IS A DUMP. Also, while I purchased a double occupancy room, I was given one double bed -- in a very small, dirty room & was told that was the only available room. Because I purchased the room through an internet hotel-booking service), I had made a non-refundable purchase. Otherwise, I would have immediately checked out -- I seriously thought about doing that, even though I would not get my money back for the room. My wife and I could barely fit on the bed & I woke up with a headache, neck ache, and a significant amount of dust in my lungs from sleeping in the room I was given. The room contained only one double bed -- which barely fit in the 10 X 10 room, with the TV , small desk & bed all crammed in. I also stayed at the Hyatt in downtown Denver - a great hotel. I also stayed for 5 nights at Courtyard Marriott in Louisville, CO -- that is a perfectly nice hotel as well. The Millenium in Boulder is horrible. STAY AWAY -- NO, RUN AWAY ---

Great value when booked through Hotwire
By Danielle, 05/08/06
We got a cheap room at the Millennium for the weekend and loved it. The room was HUGE, bathroom clean and thestaff super-friendly. Located pretty close to town (with a cheap shuttle to Pearl St) it was great value - although I am not sure we would have been so impressed if we had paid the regular room price.

Millennium Harvest House Hotel - Boulder, Colorado
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/05/05
The hotel is undergoing renovations and personally it was a mediocre experience when I stayed there last month. Location is good and the service was adequate, but the room and facilities were disappointing.

Millennium Harvest House Boulder
By tpl, 07/08/04
I agree the hotel is not worth the price. It seems as though they are trying to refurbish the place. The service was outstanding; every employee we encountered went out of his or her way to give us terrific service. However, there were a lot of little problems in our room and the other rooms in our party (toilets didn't flush properly, lukewarm water, etc.) If they can bring the level of the building up to the level of service, they'll have an outstanding facility.
