We were a little worried because there was some drinking in the parking lot. It is a bit of a wild and wooly town and we noticed at dinner that the whole town seemed sort of on the tawdry side. We decided that any motel in Durango would be pretty much the same. It was a good location for staying after a day at Mesa Verde. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was typical, boiled eggs, waffles, pastries, juice, cereal, canned fruit, etc. The price was very reasonable. The drinking stopped soon after it was noticed and we had a quiet night.
