Hilton San Diego Airport/Harbor Island, San Diego

There was nothing to dislike! We enjoyed the service, the room, the food, the pool, the exercise room, the view, the local scenery, and much more. The hotel employees made us feel like we were family. I wish every hotel expereince could be like this one. We will stay here with every San Diego trip from now on!

I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. I won't be going back. There were a few good things - the room service was prompt and the food well prepared. Breakfast was OK as well. The view was OK. There were a few of the staff that were helpful and nice. The bad, however, outweighed the good. The internet connectivity in the rooms (a must for the business traveler) was $14 per night. It worked for a few hours, but then was out of service for the remainder of the stay. I had requested the service for all 4 days. When I asked for the service to be taken off of my bill after the first day of non-function the front desk clerk was reluctant to remove the charge until I lost patience with his unwelcome attempt at troubleshooting - I had spent 30 minutes on the help line working on getting the problem resolved that morning without correction. The service in the lounge was also less than spectacular. The strange included the cast of the Simple Life running the hotel desk one evening. I was amazed at the unprofessional attitude of the two young ladies who where staffing the desk that evening. The hotel is also very remote from anyplace worth walking to and the shuttle to the downtown area runs at less than convenient times. There are plenty of other hotels that are less expensive and better run to choose from. I suggest you try one of those.

My husband and I went for a quick weekend, and will definately be back. One of the nicest hotels we have stayed. Staff was friendly, room was very clean, comfortable. From the balcony we could see both the marina and the harbor. Parking very convienent. The only thing that was not the best was the water pressure in the shower. Looking forward to our next stay. I loved my stay at the Hilton Harbor Island. My favorite staff member was Winona McGowan. She made my stay incredible!!!! She totally went out of her way to find a great breakfast place. They rooms are brand new and the views are incredible. I would love to go back.

My wife and me stayed here the night we gat married. The first thing that went wrong was the staff, my best man was checking in Yes a little early but on the sheet they gave him it said 3:00pm check in. The staff worker Winona McGowan Front desk supervisor told us we were wrong and the sheet is wrong (nice service) told them to come back after 4:00pm. This is where I stepped in and talked to her, I told her we also have a room for the next day a suite they told us when we made the reservation it would be fine to check in early so the wedding party can get ready there. This is were Winona totally looked down on me like she was better then us and still told me I was wrong. After all this the room that was not ready for my best man suddenly became ready. (They just totally lied to us) The next day they did let us check in early but the room was dirty and the toilet did not work and the main remote control for TV did not work. I also ask that they bring a cart to my room and leave for about ten minuets he said they are not aloud to leave the carts (Yes, I might steal this) Please do not stay here the service is terrible, Yes nice view but that’s where it stops.

The rooms were comfortable and the views were really nice,from both sides of the hotel. The Ocean on one side and a view of planes landing and boats docked on the other side. The planes were far enough away that the noise did not bother us and the boats in the slips were a pretty site.

We found a great rate at this hotel online, but weren't expecting much because of the 'Airport' in the title. Turns out you wouldn't even know it's near the airport. Our room had a beautiful harbor view, and no airport noise. Hotel vans will take you into the gaslamp district for free. The pool area was lovely. A great spot, all together-- we'll be back!

Fairly standard room, but at a very inexpensive rate. A little disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathroom, yet the rest of the room as well maintained. Balcony offered nice view of the harbor and was comfortable enough for two to sit on.
