places that accept pets often have odd odors, not this one. our suite was clean and comfortable and as a bonus our favorite restaurant, ruth chris, is directly across the street.

We went with a large group of people who took several rooms, and this is the consensus: What liked: good location What did NOT like: Hotel claims to provide full breakfast, but you must choose from fixed breakfast types (example: if you ask for eggs, you cannot get a piece of fruit, or even a bagel because they only come with other fixed breakfast types; plumbing horrible - very loud noise of pipes rattling whenever adjacent or upper unit uses any plumbing, causing a wake-up in the middle of the night & well before dawn; pool not heated enough for infants and minor children, and pool dirty at bottom; internet connections inoperative; sofas old and cushions sink into sofa bed; TV remote only goes forward so must go all the way through channel selection to go back to a previous channel and sometimes remote did not work at all; water in sink and shower took long time to get hot; trash not cleaned out of room before new occupant took over; as occupants traverse walkway on second floor, there is no sound deadening covering to curtail the noise of footsteps, etc. Unfortunately, making a complaint to the front desk resulted in no calls or messages, and the staff and management of this Resort seem to be operated by very young adults and not seasoned hotel operators. Should we say any more? We would not recommend Hotel to anyone.

Clean, quiet,nice swimming pool, the breakfest was good.....good location.Did not find anything I disliked....Will stay there again.Small shopping center very close by and easy access to other places..

Yikes. Best Western Palm Desert Resort is terrible hotel. Cockroaches in the room. Rude staff. Water leaking out of the ELECTRICAL connection of the iron. When staffer brought a new iron, she thrust it at me, while continuing to chat on her cell phone. When my husband complained that one computer key card didn't work, clerk accused him of using it wrong, but refused to replace it or come to the room to test it or help. Maid, in morning, repeatedly knocked and woke us up, but there was no "do not disturb" sign available, and she ignored pleas through the door to leave, in English and Spanish, until I finally got up and opened door and told her to please let me sleep. She gave me dirty frown, then walked off. No apologies. Toilet cycling on and off, also waking us, so I fixed it myself. Shower suddenly turns icy cold, apparently when neighbors flush a toilet. When I complained to front desk about this list, clerk finally apologized, but said there was nothing they could do. Oh . . . the wi-fi connection worked great. Stayed there in May 2007, rm 121.

I can't remember when I've found a room with more stale air. Physically, the hotel was average and a reasonable value. The landscaping was lovely and the pool creates a nice centerpiece but if you're looking for a comfortable stay in the desert at a reasonable rate, shop around for a newer hotel with better room aesthetics.

I went there on May,1. The hotel is great, quiet, clean, and safety. However, I got upset feeling when I ate breakfast. I ask chef for more, then he was so mean and rude.

I got this room without a lot of advance notice and got a great rate. They have redone the rooms and it was a nice place that didn't cost a great deal.
