Comfort Inn Escondido, Escondido

Stay away!!! This hotel is a health hazard! Blood stains were found on the bathroom wall (see photo), and supposed "clean" and folded towls had blood stains on them as well! I was unfortunately the victim of reaching for a "clean" towel from the rack, dried my face with it only to pull the towel away and find it pre-stained with blood (which did not come from me - nor the stain on the wall!). Hotel staff was like, "well give you a new towel and have someone come look". Well they gave me a new towel (I had to go downstairs and get it myself), but no one bothered to come up and inspect, and hotel manager was never to be found on site or on the phone. Long hairs were also found on shower stall walls. Unacceptable!

We had a great stay, everyone was kind and helpful. All new carpet and furnishings; would stay again!! They have worked hard to make it a very nice place to stay.

We liked the fact that it had a microwave, pool, frig and laundry area along with nearby stores and gas stations. The pillows were terrific! We've never slept better! The only major problem we encountered were the door keys. Twice we had to go to the lobby to get replacements. It would also help if the staff had more travel assistance for their guest like LA travel arrangements since Knotts Berry farm and Hollywood is within driving distance. I wish they would partner up with local bus services etc. to help thier guest out a bit more. It would also be helpful to have internet access in the lobby strictly for this purpose so guest would be able to book Amtrak etc.. and take advantage of discounts. Also, it would be nice if Tide was not the only detergent to choose from in the laundry area since I'm allergic to Tide. Overall the hotel was decent but could stand a bit of bleach on the floor molded areas...

This Comfort Inn was very clean and comfortable. We wanted to go to the Wild Animal Park and it was easy to get to. We found the staff recommendations for places to eat nearby to be excellent. We would definitely stay there again.

I stayed there for one night and had a horrible night. The air conditioner was poor, and half way through the night it got really hot. Aside from that we had people stomping up stairs until like one in the morning and running down the halls. I hardly got any sleep. So although the room was clean, the overall stay was very unpleasant and i do not plan on going back.

We like the pool and hspa.The room was nice maybe a little small.Enjoyed the breakfast. The service was good. The carpet in the room could need replacement.

Great room, which included dark stained wood furniture, a sofa, Internet connection, coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator, iron and board, hair dryer, and balcony with chairs. The hotel included free breakfast, large swimming pool, and more.

LOCATION WAS GREAT, BUT THERE WERE A FEW PROBLEMS, SMOKE DETECTOR WAS PULLED OUT OF THE CEILING, THE BATH TUB FAUCET LEAKED, THE ELEVATOR WAS FULL OF GRAFFITTI AND SMELLED, I WOULD NOT STAY HERE AGAIN, ON THE POSITIVE SIDE THE STAFF WAS POLITE AND FRIENDLY, I PAID 79.00 A NIGHT SO I GUESS I CAN'T COMPLAIN TO MUCH.

The courteous, helpful staff was the major plus of this nice hotel. Personnel answered all our questions and quickly directed us to surrounding attractions. This Comfort Inn was among the few hotels in San Diego area that allowed pets--a selling point for us. Situated so that we could tour in either the San Diego or LA attractions. Conveniently just off the 15. Very adequate for our needs.

Stayed here while working in Valley Center, California. I would have to say that the room was clean and the beds were comfortable, but the hotel is nothing extravagent. It was a good quiet nights sleep for me and there are a lot of things close by to do, but I would not recomend the place for a stay of more than a couple nights.
