IMPRESSIVE LOOKS-BUT WHERE's THE STAFF?
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/04/05
I stopped in the newly renovated Marriott Courtyard of Sherman Oaks. I stayed here when it was a Radisson and can hardly believe this is the same hotel. BRAVO to the designer!
However, I need/expect to have room service and a hotel restaurant where I stay in my frequent travels. You offer none of these things. I saw 'displays' of food in a very modern, marble looking wall, but no way to put in money to get the food. What a pretty way to display food that you have no access to. Seems a waste of money. Why is it that companies think the traveling public wants to 'do it yourself' at airports, hotels, etc.? Your lobby and lack of people around, force you to have to fend for yourself. I expect to be serviced by an employee, not myself. I'm exhausted and want them to do my check-in, allow me to order room service or dine in a restaurant for dinner. Why have you taken this away? Why offer banquet facilities, when you don't appear to even have any banquets going on?
Please put in more staff and offer room service and a restaurant for three meals a day. PLEASE.
Love the new design and color scheme, but not crazy about the 'burnt orange, 70's looking couch in the lobby or the orange poppy print', which look a little cheap in comparison to all the fine furnishings you have.
Miss some of the prof, attentive, friendly staff you used to have. (not to mention some were truly beautiful people-inside and out) Where are they? Too bad new management doesn't keep the old management's staff.
I plan to stay here with my staff for upcoming convention..several more trips are planned to this area all year long. I hope the service is as impressive as the looks!
Thanks for listening..
