A deposit for everything?

Where do I start? The "continental breakfast" that was on the sign was only discounted, not "continental." You had to pay a deposit to make local calls, hook up a laptop (with horribly slow dial-up), use an iron, and use the grill. The hot tub was either luke-warm or scalding hot, and the pool was always freezing. When asked for anything that should be free and fairly simple, like cups, we were answered with shortness and resistance. It's cups! How hard is it? If we ever pass through Palmdale again, we will not be staying at the Days Inn. It's a shame, too, because Days Inn usually impress us.
