A Great Location
Our flight to San Francisco was delayed by 3 hours. We arrived at SFO International airport on a Friday evening, hopped on BART and arrived at the Powell Station after 10PM. Right up the escalator, not more than 30 feet was the entrance to the Powell Hotel.
Due to Security, the front door was locked. We pressed the buzzer and was let in. Check in was fast and friendly. The room was what we expected with a king size bed. We didn't spend time in the room during the four days, left at 9 AM and returned around 9 PM. The price is competitive with other hotels that I checked on the web.
The location is great due to being close to the cable cars turn round, BART, Caltrain, Union Square Dept. Stores, San Francisco Center, Market Street, Chinatown, AT&T Park, etc.
Checking out was simple, fast, and friendly. Took the escalator right outside the front door to BART and walked straight to terminal 3 at the airport with ease.
We knew there will be noise from sirens, trucks, cable car bells, autos, people, etc. so why complain about it. After all, this is San Francisco, if not I would've stayed home in Kailua, Hawaii...
