Best Wedding present

The folks at the front desk were amazing. Vince and Fatima were great they worked with me to make my wedding night wonderful. I stopped by the day prior and made the arraingments with Fatima for my upcoming stay. The day of my wedding Vince was working the front counter, he allowed us early access to the room for minor preparations. In addition to early access he upgraded us to the Presidential Suite at no extra charge. My new bride was so suprised. Many thanks to the fine staff at the Newark Hilton.

We'll never recommend this hotel!!!

We were a guest in a Wedding anniversary held last Jan '07. We were not yet done eating our salad and the waiters were hovering around ready to snatch the plate as soon as you put down your silverware. We told them that one of the guests was just picking up their drinks in the bar and our comment was ignored. They still took the plate and one even gave us a comment that they have to work fast since they are under-staffed. What a rude way to treat their guest. Its a shame the ballroom is nice. Hope no one books this facility again. Very poor service....

i wouldn't stay here

i would stay somewhere else. the bathroom was not that great. it had black stuff growing in it. i tried to clean it . i turned on the shower and it wouldn't completely turn off. it kept dripping on to the black stuff that was in the tub!

BAD, Smelly, Poor Customer Service

I have always heard that Hilton was a great hotel to stay at - so I tried it and was extremely disappointed. My husband and I stayed in a non-smoking room - that smelled of nothing but SMOKE. When I complained to the front desk I received a major attitude and they were not willing to work with me. I was told there was nothing they could do - no change to another room, no future discounts, no partial refunds. So stuck in the room we had, we made due - and I have to admit that the bed and bedding were wonderful. I will NEVER stay here again - and I will not be giving the HILTON's any more of my money for there POOR service and SMELLY accomodations.
