Disgusting Hotel Room !

My husband and I checked into our hotel room about 9:30pm with our children after a long day at the OC Fair. We dropped our bags in the room and headed out for a late dinner at Denny’s. We arrived back at our hotel about 1.5 hours later, got the kids ready for bed in the sofa sleeper and about to climb into bed ourselves when we noticed a large stain in the middle of our comforter. It appeared to be bodily fluids, a mixture of what appeared to be blood and semen!( along with a pubic hair in the restroom) We immediately notified hotel staff who came and inspected the room and agreed that it wasn't clean and moved us at almost midnight. My husband had to then go and inspect the new room to ensure it was clean. The next morning when we complained to management, instead of being apologetic, they were rude and insulting, insinuating that the stain could have come from us! I was shocked and appalled! Not only do they subject their guest to something so disgusting...then they insult them! The property manager Dartisha and GM Huy should be ashamed of themselves! Please don’t stay here! Hampton Inns, Embassy Suites as well as several other hotels are all on the same street. The response we got from both Customer Service and Hotel Management was not impressive! I will never stay in another Best Western Again!

Great, moderately priced hotel

We came with our three teenage daughters and stayed for a week. The rooms were small, but clean. We were glad that we had arranged for two rooms for the 5 of us. The breakfast was great. A full hot breakfast included every day. We were impressed with the helpfulness of the staff.

We had a small family reunion at this Best Western - OC. Loved everything about it. Rooms and grounds, including the heated pool area, were very clean. Breakfast was made to order. Fruit, bakery items and coffee was plentiful. Daily newspaper, micro-wave, refrigerator and coffee in the room - bonus extras. Highly recommend. Teri Buena Park, CA

we really enjoyed our stay. we stayed for a week, so the microwave and frige were a great help. the free breakfast was very good and your restaurant staff was wonderful. the rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff was very accomodating. our sister lives in costa mesa and we will be staying with you when we visit.

Policy Rules!

I made a reservation for 5 rooms for the same weekend. I had to cancel 1 room, and was 30 MINUTES past the deadline, and they would only cancel with a $25.00 cancellation fee OR charge for the whole night. I felt this was rather severe considering I was still paying for 4 rooms! Even when I told him we would not be returning, the only thing he seemed able to say was "it's company policy". His company policy has lost him some customers. Had I cancelled the morning of, I wouldn't be complaining about being charged. Truth be told, their breakfast leaves alot to be desired - the eggs are watery and everything else tastes like cardboard - we always end up eating at Jack-in-the-Box down the street.

I would most definitely not recommend this Best Western. Our reservation was made at least 3 weeks in advance, and when we arrived at 10PM, we were told that they did not have the room we had reserved. Instead , we were given a wheelchair accesible room. After gonig to this room and closing the door, we immediately noticed that the room had not been vacuumed. There were dust balls behind the door, and small pieces of candy wrappers on the floor. The next morning, we did change to another room, which did appear to have been cleaned, but noticed that our feet were darkened by the dirt in the carpeting. This was also a noisy hotel, with extremely hard mattresses. I am very sorry to say that this was not a good place to stay.

This is a good hotel. Reception people are good. Breakfast is very good. Rooms are clean, well-equiped room. I shall come back again to this hotel. I visited in April 2005.

Good Value - Quiet rooms

Great place to stay. The room was comfortable and it was quiet at night, even though I'm pretty sure the rooms on either side of me were occupied. The breakfast every morning was good too - it was a full breakfast, not just continental.
