Safari Inn a Coast Hotel, Burbank

The staff was very friendly she helped us print our boarding passes. The hotle paid to have a cab bring us back to the hotel after dropping off the rental car. We did not want to deal with that in the AM. She also arranged for a cab to take us to the airport in the early AM. another no charge. We hope to stay there agin soon. Nice neighborhoods to take walks in. Over all the area was real nice.

If you want something fancy, don't stay here. If you want a decent place to stay for a decent price, this is definitely it! We were on a budget, wanted someplace clean and close to NBC. This was just fine. VERY nice staff, the stay was a little noisy – I could hear the TV next door and doors closing to other rooms but...clean room, felt safe there. VERY close to NBC and WB studios. Great Chinese food within walking distance. I’d definitely go back.

We visit Burbank about 3 times per year and always stay at the Safari. They take pets, we get one of the suites so our dog has room to roam. And they have grass right outside our room. We love the Safari and were very excited to see it in "Coach Carter!"

This place was a toilet. Thank God we only had to stay for one night. The website pics are very deceiving. The room smelled, there were stains on the floor, burns in the blankets and the bottom sheet on the beds didn't even cover the mattress, which didn't even have a mattress pad. We were totally disgusted. I had even thought of sleeping in our rental car. The Olive Bistro and dining area in the adjacent, 'sister' hotel was a joke. It's a glorified Denney's, and I would rather starve than to go back to this pig sty. The four and five star ratings are either from employees or from pathetic desperados that have no idea what decent accomodations are. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I saw this hotel/Motel in the movie Apollo 13 and True Romance. It's a 50's style motel. I went up there to hollywood for a Depeche Mode party and I took a cab from the motel to the Hollywood blvd. it cost me $20 for the trip. The Motel is no big deal, it's just close to NBC, Warner Bros and Universal. Central Located. The room was clean and nice and the restaurant was incredible. the food there is amazing. Anabelle restaurant it's called. I don't think it's worth the $120 bucks, but hey, if you like staying in historic places it's all good. we also saved $10 bucks on Universal Studio tickets. I would stay there again. hope this helps.

My grown up daughter and I stayed June 23rd through the28th of 2006. I thought it was great! The noise level was minimal, a nice continental breakfast, and it was an ideal area for many tourist attractions. Whenever we called the lobby, we were helped friendly and prompltly. Being so close to a police station made us feel more safe. The beds were very comfortable. I defenitely would recommend this place to anyone staying in the area

What a nice surprise - for just over $100 we got a very clean, neatly appointed, comfortable room with a good shower, a small refrigerator, and great air-conditioning. To me, that's a bargain find in any large US city. The desk clerk was exceptional - she gave us a great recommendation for an authentic Mexican restaurant within walking distance (for us, 1/2 mile), arranged a voucher to cover the cab for next morning's ride to the airport, and, without prompting, asked if we wanted her to print our boarding passes for the next day's flights (which we did). Although the hotel is definitely on a commercial strip, the neighborhood was quiet and calm.

In you need to be in the Burbank area and have a pet this place is great. They don't even charge extra. It's the designated motel for people/animals going to Animal Planet so they're very blase about critters. It's in an innocuous part of Burbank and central to lots of things. We thought the amenities were appropriate for the price. The dog loved it.

The Safari is a kitchy-retro-60s-surf little place with a fabulous location, great sun deck/patio, pool and great room service from a surprisingly good menu & bar.I always stay there when I'm in LA (& can't afford the Standard or the Chateau Marmont)...same effect to a lesser degree. They are welcoming and well situated for my dogs, which is a real rarity! Love the Safari!
