BEWARE. I booked a year ahead Jan 08 to take my 8 year old daughter to the Rose Parade Jan 09. While I didnot read the fine print of my contract, I had never intended not to make this trip, until 2 weeks before when my daughter became ill. I thought she would recover and we could make the trip, however she didnot and upon calling the hotel and inquiring about when I needed to cancel I was advised Oct 2 2008. NO EXCEPTIONS. I spoke to the online booking company who advised me there was nothing they could do, they advised me to call the hotel and talk to the manager. I was advised by him that there was nothing he could do. He informed me that in 5 years of working there he has never seen the owners refund any reservation for any reason. I explained that her illness was out of my control and offered to supply doctors validation but to no avail. While I can appreciate rules and regulations and understand that time of year would be there busiest, I also believe that the room could have been filled very easily and in legitimate cases certain exceptions can be made. My loss $570
