Wonderful place
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/22/07
I like the staff because they are very helpful and kind. The place is so comfortable and the Bakery Building is the best rooms to stay in. I have stayed here two times already and had the same room each time. Room 10. It's nice to escape from San Francisco and go somewhere quiet and very relaxing and enjoy the fireplace. You can also order breakfast in bed and everything is walking distance. I would recommend this place to everyone i know and have purchased a gift certificate for my sister and husband as an anniversary gift. I will keep coming back here to relax and get away because i know i will be treated wonderfully here.

Perfect place for wine country trip
By Paul, 2/1/06
I had never heard of nor stayed in this B&B before this past weekend and happended to come across it as I was making last minuted travel plans for a last minute "wine run" in Napa. Needless to say, I am glad that I ended up booking here as the place was just perfect. It is a great value for the money as the place it quaint, charming and perfectly located about 10 minutes south of winery row along 29 and a short walk from great restaurants like Bistro Jeanty, Bouchon and French Laundry. I stayed in what they called the "cozy queen" with my girlfriend and while only about 12x12 - it was an extremely comfortable bed and nice room considering all we were doing was using it in the evenings as we were out tasting or eating all day. The showers in these rooms were very cozy however so if you are uncomfortable in tight spaces..opt for a superior king room or another of the great rooms on the property. The food was excellent each morning (cold cereal, apple/almond oatmeal, breads, rolls and fresh muffins and fruit,an egg dish and another hot dish which was french toast one day i was there and a potato dish the other.) With a pool and spa on the property, two warm fireplaces and being so close to everything you could want to do on your trip to wine country - this IS the place to and book.

The Perfect Place
By Andrea, 6/7/05
We were 100% satisfied with our experience here: exceptionally charming, romantic, warm...one afternoon we chatted with other couples at the pool, the next we sunbathed with hummingbirds on a balcony that felt like an intimate, secluded retreat. Extremely helpful staff, within walking distance to many many incredible restaurants. We had one of the smaller rooms available, and even it was lovely. Delicious french breakfast. Highly recommended.

nook & cranny experience
By jules, 9/9/04
if you love the idea of walking into a ivy riden cove only to find the comfort of a cracking fire and savory hors d'oeuvre, this charming b&b is for you. my husband and i stayed here for a couple days after our wedding and found it to be quite lovely. unwinding in the evening with a glass of vanilla sherry reminsciing about the day with other out of town folks was just wonderful. in the morning we enjoyed all the wonderful home baked breads, tarts, and freshly squeezed juices. relaxation at it's best!

Romantic and Reasonable
By Rosie, 7/20/04
Charming, private and filled with amenities. Lovely pool, whirlpool and gardens, excellent full breakfast and evening wine reception. Light a fire and lounge in the complimentary robe while sipping the complimentary wine. Borrow one of their bicycles and ride around the town. Many shops, wineries and restaurants in the vicinity. We adopted the bear from our room. Can't wait to get back. It's a slice of heaven
