Rodeway Inn La Mesa, La Mesa

Hallways and room had a bad smell. Carpets were dirty and stains on bed spreads. Overall didn't feel clean . We also felt what seemed to be bugs in the beds. WAS in NO WAY WORTH the Money.

Location, Location, Location. The proximity to RT 94 and to our destination in La Mesa was superb. Twenty minutes to San Diego(without exaggeration). The room was clean and very quaint but lended itself nicely to our needs with simple comfort. The price was actually cheaper than we were used to on the East Coast so that in itself was a pleasant surprise. I would stay there again without hesitation.

The service was uncomfortable. The place looked like a brothel. The room was small. The carpets were dirty. The manager tried to charge me extra money at check out. The place is conveniently located near the behavioral hospital where I was orientating. This is not a good place for children to stay, at all.

I reserved a stay there for 6 days we got there early to see how it was the place did not look to clean and the pic in the net are deceving I had to cancel my stay and find another place in the spare of the moment when I called to cancel my stay there the still charge me a day cause they said it was not in the time limit I told them that they will rent the room by in off day anyway they said that is true but they where going to charge me any way so they got payed twice for the same room that is under handed most places let it go and that is that I think rodeway Inn owes me for charging me for a day that I did not stay there and if Rodeway Inn company gets this message i am tell you that was not far and people out there that read this do not patronize this place it is flea bag this is my opinon

We arrived to find some ants on the wall, we disposed of them. By morning, the ants were on the bed and all over the tub and towels. We were graciously moved. This room smelled bad,stained towels,sheets and water stained ceiling.The carpet was very dirty.The tv,a/c and fridge did work. We has to tape our elect.plugs into the outlets so they would not fall out. We were visiting for 3 days and didn't unpack. This Inn gives Rodeway a bad name. No repeat bussiness.

Being a "value" motel did not expect a lot of "fluff" but did expect upkeep. I am a smoker and in a smoking room. Realize some smokers are a bit irresponsible but motel should maintain their furniture. It would only take a minute or two to fix the damage a thoughtless person might have made. Also the drapes were torn and ragged, which had nothing to do with smokers, also the air conditioner never got cold. I will say the bed and bathroom were always clean. The continental breakfast was a joke. A few muffins and not very appetizing things that were supposed to be danish. Coffee and orange juice and that is it. Some cereal and/or toast would have been an added touch and not added to the cost. They seem to forget that some people cannot tolerate sugar products.

The hotel was close to nearby freeways. The room itself was quiet, large, working refridgerator, microwave, and coffee maker. For the price it was worth it. Front desk was friendly. Free wireless internet in the room..you just had to ask front desk for password. I think we would go back again. It wasn't a bad experience like everyone else said. :)

Well, I wasn't too happy about this place! The water didn't work, the shower plug hole was colgged up with hair, there was hair in the toilet(!?)and there were various unidentifiable stains on the bed sheets and on the walls! Also, many of the large sliding doors did not shut, this was made worse by the fact that there were a large amount of dodgy looking men hanging about outside!! The hallways smelt 'strange' and the walls are so thin that the TV next door woke me up. I travel a lot and this was my third time in Arizona, probably the worst hotel/motel I have stayed in in America.

Never wrote before... Just wanted everybody to know... I travel a lot, but this was the most awful experience ever!!! Hotel was a nightmare! Breakfast - juice, coffee, old cupcakes - that's it!!! Bed sheets and towels with old stains... Room would clean ONLY after you ask PERSONALLY TWICE!!!! Laundry - shirt was burned, after using washer - more stains, very-very dirty!!! Dryer makes noises but after 1 hour everything was wet!!! Very dark room!!! Microwave old and broken (but worked...). A/C worked but would stop ONLY manually!!! It was a nightmare!!!!
