Gross!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/26/09
Filthy! Dirty, smelly and broken down. Towels had holes and bathroom was nasty. Everything was disgusting. The brakfast was a few thinly sliced muffin pieces and crappy coffee.

We found a cockroach on our child's pillow!
By MandyD, 10/29/08
I called and inquired as to there avilabilty and rates. Both would accommodate over the phone. When we showed up it was a different story. The Manager/Owner (we never got a straight answer as to which he was) started in very unprofessionaly I might add that he wasn't sure if he had a room avilable but if we showed him the cash upfront he would get us a room. He then charged us more than he qouted me over the phone. Our children were tired and hungry so we paid for the room. You think when you pay extra for more than two occupants they would give you towels to accommodate all guest no so at this wonderful hotel. And when I had to go ask it was like was an such inconvience. The shower was filthy and leaked water everywhere. The floors were disgusting I made my kids keep there socks on and they were filthy. Among many other trips to the office to ask for missing supplies the worst thing happened on our vacation. After our second day of staying there I look over to where my kids are laying on their bed and on my little girls pillow is a cockroach right by her hair. I was really upset and pretty disgusted. When I took it to the office the Manager/Owner said nothing just took the pillow to the back and said he would spray. Our compensation was $10.00 and it happens sometimes. This was one of the worst hotel customer service experices I have ever had. Econolodge should be ashamed to have there name represented by the Manager/Owner of the hotel. I hope I get a response very soon from corporate and the health department. This is not exceptable.

Not The Ritz But Clean
By Kimberly, 9/2/08
All the reviews for this hotel had me really nervous about having to book it last minute. I do have to say I was pleasently surprised. The only negative was the bed it was a little on the hard side. The people were freindly and helpfull and the rooms were clean and free of any bad smells that the other reviewers spoke of. We did not try the pool but at a glance it was indoors, heated and very clean. The Continetal Breakfast was nothing to write home about but there was OJ some danish and coffee to get you started. The Pizza joint next door had the best Pizza. All and all I would stay again. Like I said the BED was very hard but everything else was good enough. This is not a Ritzy hotel and my standards were low to begin with for this over night stay, but it was clean and had a good hot shower.

ONE STEP LOWER THAN A DUMP
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/17/08
DON'T STAY HERE-ONE STEP LOWER THAN A DUMP” Econo Lodge pixCal calJun 28, 2008 Filthy, stinky, bath mat black , soap was dirty & sticky when I opened it. Could not shower as the bathroom was too filthy. Needed one after I got out of there though. The kicker was when we went to bed and turned back covers, one bed had a pillow case that was full of black whatever? Called the office no answer. Called corporate they could not get the office. Called office in the a.m. talked to mgr. He said he would give us ten dollars off because one of the beds was dirty? We called corporate and filed an official complaint. Went to check out and mgr tried to bribe us. Said he would give us half off the price of the room if we didn't call corporate. We said we already did he then refused to give us even the ten dollars off for the one dirty bed. We called corporate back. We will also call the health dept. AAA and anyone else who wants to listen. Never again
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/2/08
The good things are it had a clean bathroom , plenty of hot water, a frig and microwave, and good TV with lots of channels. However, daily service was lacking, carpet was dingy and dirty( our white socks were very dirty after only 10 minutes) and was not vaccuumed before we arrived and was not vaccuumed during our stay of 4 nights. Had to ask for enough towels, and some delivered were actually wet. Needed a serious update. All electrical plugs were in use aside of the two in the bathroom so had to unplug lights, etc, to use computer, phone jacks, etc.
