Pleasant stay, nice price!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/6/10
Hotel is very close to the main gate, within easy walking distance to either Disneyland or California Adventure. I received good service at the front desk, when I asked for a room close to the front because I was traveling alone. I found the accommodations to be comfortable and pleasant. After 10 minutes in the shower, the hot water was dwindling, but perhaps it's my fault. There is a restaurant and bar on premise, which I did not use. Enjoyed my stay at the Anaheim Plaza.

RIGHT ACROSS STREET FROM DISNEYLAND, STAY HERE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/23/10
WE STAYED AT THE ANAHEIM PLAZA HOTEL OCTOBER 2009, HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. THE ROOMS WERE VERY LARGE IN THE 700 BUILDING, LIKED THE DOUBLE SINKED AREA IN THE BATHROOM, AND THE BATHTUB ROOM IN THE BATHROOM AREA. STAFF IS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. THE COFFEE FOR BREAKFAST IS THE SMOOTHEST BREW GOING. WILL STAY AGAIN THIS SUMMER 2010.

Great place for a great price
By N.O.Y.D.B. N, 10/16/09
No elevators but I knew this going in, but they would of been nice. The staff was very friendly the entire time and the brakfast var albeit tiny was still very good for 10 bucks pp. The toaster took forever so make it way ahead of your hot food. Having a balcony was nice and the hummingbirds were abundant so that was a nice scene on the balcony every morning. A little bit of a walk but nothing life threatening (only took maybe 10 minutes to walk to the park). There is no shuttle (ART) that stops here but you can go down one hotel and take it, but honestly the walk is not bad at all. They have a nice store that has many varieties of gifts, drinks, snacks etc. If you are a pepsi person like my husband, they sell it here :) Plus you pass many little shops and food places. We ordered from a local hot pizza joint (I am sorry now I can't think of the name) but it is a mans name but sounds female (with a G possibly, will know it when I see it again) the food was FANTASTIC. We ordered about 40 min before they closed and it got there hot, fresh and one of the best pizzas I have had since moving to CA 11 yrs ago. The prices are great. Overall I will definately stay here again and recommend it to others. Rooms Clean!. Only slight bother was the shower went hot and cold but I am used to that at home. Beds extremely comfy but ask for extra pillows ahead of time as they are slightly thin and not many (3) Nice looking pool but we did not go use it. For the price you can't beat ir for the location. Convention center about 10 min walk.

WHAT A DUMP
By Nina, 3/7/09
When we arrived, the staff was very rude, but we were so excited that it did not bother us. However, when we got to the room I was shocked to find dirty floors, (dead bugs) and a filthy bathroom. The place really smelled musty, and there was no heat in our room. The water temperature went from scalding to freezing and back again. I will never stay here again. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, SO DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! Oh yeah, there are plenty of other nice hotels much closer to the entrance of Disneyland, and this is NOT a good neighbor hotel according to the Disney website!

great location, and- oh yeah, that's the only plus
By Mrs. Mopsie, 1/2/09
This place is about as close to Disneyland as you can possibly get without staying inside Disneyland. We were able to walk back after spending 18 hours in Disneyland WITHOUT wishing the hotel was closer. That said, I can't say there's anything else I liked about this hotel. First, the hotel lobby & room smelled like pee. (Oh yeah, they allowed pets, that's probably why.) The lighting in the room was poor, and not in a romantic way. But I guess that goes with the old and not very nice looking appearance. The TV was small. The outlets were few, and one was slightly rusted. The bathtub had some little brown stuff coming out when I tried to fill it. Water wasn't very warm either. The frig froze everything overnight. The wall's thin. We constantly heard people rolling luggage around. If you just need a place to crash after a crazy fun exhausting day at Disneyland, you can weigh the pluses & minuses yourself. I'm going to consider walking a few more steps for a better place to stay.

Urinated Beds from previous guest!
By Amber P, 12/29/08
My family and I checked in on a Saturday night, we had the family suite, which is really two adjoining rooms. The rooms were nice... old and need to be updated :( When my dad went to get into his bed, the bed was soaked from the previous guest who urinated in the bed. The maid simply put new sheets on the bed. DISGUSTING! We called the front desk, they offered to down grade us to a bottom floor room but we declined. The maid came to the room and offered a new set of sheets, that was not going to work. The night manager suggested flipping the matteress over, That would solve the problem for the night. In the morning we stopped by the front desk, asked to speak the the GM, of course he was not there but we were told that me the GM had given me 35.00 off the one night due to the wet bed. My mother said 35.00 was not going to be enough, the man at the front desk said if you want somthing more then you will have to talk to the GM. We stopped by again later in the evening and he was not there. The next day we attempted to locate the GM again... no luck! The day of our check out we got the rudest guy ever! We asked about the discount again and he said that is all i am willing to give you 35.00 that is it. I asked the guy would you want to get into a bed full of someones piss! He said well you should have talked to the GM and I told the guy I tried to see him everytime i was at the hotel. He response was you should have tried harder he is here! Why should my family and I have to stalk the GM, he put us in a room that had a bed full of urine from a the previous guest! I would never stay here again and i would not recommend it to anyone. If you want rude guest services and dirty rooms with wet beds then stay here. And this is NOT the closest hotel to Disneyland either is are many more. Beds full of piss! You would think that something so disgusting would have been given more attention!

Great Value!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/10/08
We were pleasantly suprised by this property. Some of the previous reviews had us a bit worried, but we found it extremely clean, the staff very helpful, and the room nicely comfortable. Yes, you have to pay for parking -but we knew that going in, so no surprise. For only being a block from the Disneyland "crosswalk", we found this motel to be a fantastic value - about half the price of the other "crosswalk" motels we've stayed in. Just have a reasonable expectation, and we think you'll be pleased. Yes, it's a discount hotel, there's no free "continental breakfast" and you do have to pay for parking, but it's close, clean, quiet, and comfortable.

Great location, not so great service
By Gina, 3/30/08
First the pros: Great location, I would say less than a 10 min walk...its right across the street from Disney. The room was clean, free of bugs, it really did not smell (they allow pets). Did not smell like smoke (only 5 rooms allow smoking). It was a decent room for a decent price. The Cons: our reservation was for 5..clearly stated when making reservation, clearly stating needed rollaway bed. Got there..no rollaway. Also reserved room with microwave...NO microwave. Needless to say they promised to rush both items to our room. 1 hr later had to call to hear them say sorry..no micros or rollaways...unacceptable! Got the rollaway...thats it. I recommend bringing a portable bottle warmer for those of you traveling with little ones...just in case. Most of the staff were nice enough, though gave me a bit of a hard time when I asked to use their employee microwave. I WOULD stay their again though, actually staying again next month....will be bringing my own bottle warmer. Not a luxury hotel..outside entrance, more like motel. Older building, small tv and broken doors on armoir. The water situation seemed fine to me ( I saw other complaints). Overall average rating.

Denied room even with proof of reservation.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/3/08
We've made our reservation online through their online system, and printed the reservation. We've even called to confirm the hotel 2 days ahead since it's the New Year's eve night. When we tried to check-in to the hotel, we were denied of our rooms because they couldn't find our reservation in their system. Not only didn't they honor our reservation (with the registration print out from their website and email). They denied to provide assistance to help locate another hotel for us, leaving us stranded to run around on New Year's eve to try and find another hotel rooms. We have to pay double our original price for another hotel that is 3 miles away. We originally picked this place since it's across the entrance of Disneyland, but we ended up having to spend more money because we picked a Dishonest, Unreliable, and Irresponsible hotel. I bet they gave our discounted pricing rooms to some other people who pay the full price. If you are not going to honor your own online reservation system, then post a message there to tell us your hotel don't honor the registration system, so people won't waste their time with your stupid hotel. Overall, bad experience, and bad service.
