BBQ Pit Beware!
We just went last weekend and overall, this was the best camping experience I've had in a long time! Like most of the reviews say, the views were amazing (Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, Merced River) it was clean, organized, beds were nice, staff was friendly, and even the campers were friendly.
The only thing I must say is that NO WHERE could I find specific information on the BBQ Pit area. So, we went with fingers crossed that all we needed was utensils and frying pans.
I am writing this for all the future campers of Housekeeping - BRING YOUR OWN STOVE! The BBQ Pit was basically a half grill covering half the fire pit which lay on the ground, and we weren't allowed to have fires until after 5pm (that may be because of summer fire hazards). Luckily, the rental shop right next to registration had brand new stoves for rent for just $2 bucks the entire weekend (or however long your stay is). So, breakfast and dinner was served thanks to the stove, and the fire pit was used to make great s'mores!
