This place was amazing. From the room, to the service, all the way down to the food. Its what you would expect going to a place like this. Well worth it. I would recommend staying there and have their breakfast. Trust me, you wont be disappointed.

OK Not great
By ,
It was OK, but certainly not worth the price. Plus most of the patrons staying there were snobish. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, but we really didn't feel comfortable staying there. Unless your a millionaire, don't bother.

Amazing
By ,
Hands down the finest hotel in Los Angeles, if not the world. The Bel-Air is a class all in it's own..the service is unassuming and friendly (as opposed to fake) and the room I was in was absolutely beautiful. The grounds were breathtaking and it's like you were dropped in some tropical oasis, not the mess that is Los Angeles. Highly recommended!

Where the movie stars stay
By ,
While I prefer to stay at their sister hotel, The Beverly Hills Hotel, I can't fault the Hotel Bel Air for anything. Lush, beautiful acres, friendly people, perfect service. Even the air smells sweet and intoxicating there. We ran into Oprah Winfrey while we were there. She was having a party. Nancy Reagan lunches here at least once a week. In The Bar we saw Geraldo Rivera. Walking around the grounds we saw Ellen DeGeneres and Coretta Scott King. The Restaurant is perhaps the finest in Los Angeles (the outside terrace is the place to sit; on cool winter nights radiant ceiling heaters keep the place cozy warm). Our junior suite was very comfortable; decor was a bit dated but still plush. Regular rooms can be on the small side. We didn't see anyone using, or even sitting around, the smallish swimming pool during our 4 day stay. Walking the paths of the 13+ beautiful acres you feel private, pampered and luxurious just being there.

Can't beat this one for luxury
By ,
Want luxury, civility and tranquility while in Los Angeles? You couldn't do any better than the Bel-Air. This place has been my home away from home for the past thirteen years and I absolutely adore this place. Imagine lush, cultivated grounds with swans floating in meandering streams and waterfalls, flowers, beautiful gardens, this is the perfect setting for romance. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are impeccably appointed with a homey, yet elegant feel. I always feel so at home here and pampered, am on a first name basis with all the staff and the food in the restaurant and wood panelled bar is superb. I would highly recommed this magical hotel for romance and beauty, the staff will treat you like royalty and all the rooms I have had the pleasure of staying in are super quiet and very private. This place is a true gem!

Bel Air Escape
By ,
The Bel Air Hotel is one of those places rare in Los Angeles, which makes one feel at home. Its decor, dressed in elegant Provencal style, evokes the feeling of warm settings in Avignon or Nice, yet is tucked away in the Bel Air hillside, where native and visitor may find relaxation, elegance and pleasure. It has always been where locals and tourists, as well as celebrities, find they can be away from the every-day grind of Los Angeles, and find the privacy to take that special someone for a day, a weekend or more time 'alone'. Everyone feels special, secure and well treated at the Bel Air Hotel.

Absolutely breath taking...
By ,
this hotel is an oasis with the most amazing scenery you will ever find in a hotel. I would not call this a hotel, but a getaway retreat with all it amenities and pampering delights this hotel is a must see must do. The service is first class and the experience is priceless. If you want a nights stay at a hotel this is not the place to go, however if you want a magical experience get on your carpet and take it all in, you will not be disappointed.
