Edgewater Inn & Suites, Pismo Beach

The door had no safety chain at all. Toilet seat was falling off. I have no idea how the cleaning staff could have missed that one. The stopper in the sink was off. I know these are minor problems. But when I get charge $150.00 per night it's not much to ask to have these fixed, all were of minor costs to repair. For the cost of the door chain I had the tools in the car to fix it all. I was on vacation not there to do house repairs.

The front desk clerk was very courteous and the view was incredible. It is adjacent to the beach which was most appealing to me and why I booked. The room at first appeared ok, but later realized our a/c or fan did not work and even with the windows open the room was just too hot. The bedding was obviously not clean and next morning I found rat droppings. I was on the 3rd floor... this place needs improvement, until then I will not return.

I stayed one night at the edgewater inn in Pismo beach and will never stay there again. I accidently left my camera and case in the hotel room when I checked out. In the case was my ID, credit card and some money. I called as soon as I realized it was missing and the person on the phone told me it had been found by the cleaning staff. I came by the next day to pick it up and my money was gone. I am very disappointed in this establishment as the only people that could have had contact with my belongings were the staff and I think it is poor that someone working there would steal money from a guest. I left a note for the manager as he wasn't there when I came by, but they never contacted me. I would not recommend staying here for this reason, although it is a shame because before that I thought it was a great place to stay at a very reasonable cost.

Memorial Weekend. We booked a room with view for $150 a night. The room overlooked the beach. That was the best part of the stay. The room smelled like cigarettes and masked with scented spray. The rug was sticky and very dirty. We decided to cut our trip short and leave the next morning. My wife woke me at 3 AM to the sound of rustling in the trash can. I kicked the can and a big black rat jumped out and ran under the bed. The night watchman helped me try to find the rat by lifting the bed. Surprise #2, a bunch of porno mags and trash!! We never found the black rat. Obviously, we called the manager and demanded out money back. He did refund our sleepless night at the hotel. The place looks decent from the outside. The location is great, right next to the beach. We hoped that this review will help the management clean up the place for future visitors. Not us fortunately.

We've stayed at the Edgewater in Pismo Beach for years when we attend Jazz events in that city. The staff always are friendly and helpful, eager to meet any request we may have. The location is excellent - it's an easy walk to the beach, the pier, and downtown Pismo Beach. This isn't true of many hotels in this city. This is an older facility, but it has been undergoing renovations for the past year or so and our rooms (and suites) have been just great. This is a wonderful value for the money - best in Pismo.

When we got there the place was dirty, there was sand in the sheets and God knows what on the floor. 2 members of our party had to wait until the second night for pillows because they were out (how can a hotel be out of pillows!) The toilet ran constantly until we broke out our tools and fixed it. The fan blades fell off when we turned on the fan, so while we had our tools out we fixed that too. 2 chairs broke when 2 under 200 pound people sat on them. The stove sparked and snapped upon use. Not only a disgusting, fleabag, but dangerous as well. All of this splendor for just under $200 a night!

This is a great place to stay while staying at Pismo Beach. For the past couple of years we have been staying at his hotel when we come down to Pismo. The rooms are really comfortable and they are of decent size. The location of this motel is excellent. Everything is walking distance and the beach is only less than a minute away. Service is excellent also and the check-in and check-out is trouble free and really fast.

I liked the way that they were friendly. They did not give me any problems with any request that I had. My kids enjoyed themselves and really loved the cookies that were offered in the lobby. I will most defiently return to this hotel again
