deceitful and greedy owner
In booking a room for the Coachella festival, the owner/manager of Quality Inn cancelled my 3 night reservation when I didn't show up the first night, stating he never received notice from Hotels.com that I only wanted to cancel the first night. That's fair enough, but then I witnessed him lie over the phone to Hotels.com that he had no rooms left, so he couldn't reinstate my reservation if he wanted to. When he got off the phone with Hotels.com, he then told me did have a room available, but he would only give it to me if I paid twice what I originally paid, saying that I would not not be able to find anything else available in the area. I ended up not staying because Hotels.com was able to find me a different Motel for a bit more than my original rate at "Quality" Inn, and Hotels.com reimbursed me for the difference. Then, the Quality Inn owner wanted to bargain a new rate with me, but I told him that Hotels.com was going to reimburse me anyway, so I would pass on his greedy offer.
