Don't Trust Central Reservation System
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/04/09
I have stayed here many times and never had trouble with the Knight's Inn reservation system until October. I had a reservation for October 10, had the confirmation number. Went I tried to check in, the number was not in their system. Since the hotel was booked, I was out of luck. I had a reservation for November 27, and same thing, the confirmation number was not in the system. Fortunately, rooms were available. I was told to call the hotel directly to make a reservation for my next stay. I might go elsewhere. They desk staff seem particularly rigid about the checkin time also.

By far the worst hotel we have ever stayed at
By julie b, 10/12/09
There was nothing to like about this hotel. When we first arrive, they couldn't find our reservation we had made a month ahead. But we didn't have time for them to get their paper work straight because we had tickets to go to the 49er's game so we had to leave our luggage in our car. When we returned to the hotel, they told us they found our booked reservation and gave us our room. The room was really small and we only were able to watch 3 channels on the TV. On their website they advertise every room has cable TV and HBO. Thats a lie because we all know, you get more than 3 channels with cable. The bed didn't have clean sheets . The bathroom towels were not folded. There was pubic hairs in the bath tub. The toilet had pee all over it and on the floor. The carpet wasn't clean. The room was DIRTY and DISGUISING. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.

Great Basic Hotel
By Glenn, 03/17/09
This place is a no frills hotel, but clean and comfortable. The staff was accomodating and even let me check in early. Great place for relaxing after a day of sightseeing--if you want the Ritz then pay the price!

The worst hotel ever!
By Maria, 10/09/08
First off, we had called 3 times to try to get an extra pull away bed that never came (which was o.k. since there wasn't much room to start off with in that room). Then, after dinner we came back to the hotel and were exhausted and ready for bed. My girlfriend started itching and suggested we check the bed. Sure enough, as soon as we turned the light on, there was a small brown bug crawling across the pillow I just laid my head on. She proceeded to pull the covers back to find another one crawling around in the sheets. As if that was bad enough.... I had called the front desk about this and both the manager and the front desk person came up to the room as we were packing up our stuff. The topper was when the manager told us A) he thought we had been the one who brougth the bugs in and then B) if he did not find any other bugs in the facility, he would not credit my card back. Which I argued about that one too. When I went to go check my statement online, I found out that they charged my credit twice the amount I had agreed to pay online and I'm still fighting to credited back for such a horrible experience. My suggestion to you is to stay away from tha hell hole!

This hotel is horrible!!
By James, 07/25/08
The website is very misleading. When you arrive it looks nothing like you see on the web. It's dirty and in a very bad neighborhood. The room was terrible. I was laying across the bed when I saw a mouse run across the floor. I politley called the front desk and told them I will be leaving immediately. I was in the room 3 hours before I checked out due to the rodents. I also met with some guys who had previously did some work for them during their suppose to be remodel. They told me that this hotel had roaches all in the walls while they were performing thier construction. I would thoroughly recommend that you stay as far away from this hotel as possible.

stay away!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/05/08
first of all, whoever wrote the good comments about this place obviously works there.it was thee worst place we have ever stayed at.when I pulled the blankets back a rat ran out to the back of the bed.I thought I was seeing things but sure enough there was rat poop all over the pillows and blankets.when we told the front clerk what happened he didn't seem to think it was a big deal and gave us a room further down.it was 2 am in a city I have never been to and my fiancé is in a wheelchair so its not necessarily the easiest to just pack up and leave.after night of no sleep when we told the new guy at from t what happened all he could say was sorry and if this was our concern why didn't we leave that night.do not stay here unless you want to share your bed with rodents!

Budget Travel - Not Bad 11/9-11/13
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/18/07
Single guy. Budget travel. Government rate is a steal at $62.00. Normally $116.00. I don't look for or expect fancy service. I want a clean room, good bed and shower. Nothing more and then leave me alone. I like to spend my money on other things Ok rooms are small. I was in a Queen bed room in the main hotel, first floor (room 123). Big enough for one or two. I saw 124 which was a king room and that was a bit bigger located street side. I also got to see the suites in the main hotel and they are not up to par; somewhat older part of the main hotel and older condition. Not much noise from the street or courtyard. My room. I check: sheets clean, mattress looked new. New funrniture. Bathroom was clean and adequate. Towels good but I always take my own. No obvious stains or such. Internet and phones in room. Coffee maker and stuff. Overall clean. Check-in: Ok. Just checking in giving a credit card. Not hard for me! Parking: out early and back around 5pm there was no problem with parking. Area: single man. No problem with area. I think its fine. Probably not for a single female walking around but I stick to the main streets and not the alley ways. I am not sure what " problems" other folks encounter. There are drunks and pan handlers everywhere. I didnt see many. This is a City. I think that there are other areas that are unsafe! If you are from the country and never been to a big city stay you might feel uneasy. Eating: the hotel breakfast is just a snack but I didnt expect anything other than coffee and a danish! I got that. Up the street on the right side of 7th is a place called Custom Burger. Dont waste your time or money. How many guys can it take to cook and screw up a burger? About five! Expensive and not worth it. Few hundred yards up from the Ramada on he left is a Chinese/Vietnamese place: its good and well worth it. OVERALL: good location for me. easy in and out for driving and highway to airport. I WOULD STAY AGAIN.

NEVER stay at this hotel!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/12/07
This website is very decieving. We came to this hotel for an event that we do every year in San Francisco. Due to another huge event going on this past weekend, our regular hotel was sold out, as every other hotel around it. Which lead us to The Ramada Limited Downtown. I booked out 3 rooms, 1- 2-bedroom suite ($203.00 a night) and 2 king rooms ($90.10 per night). To make a long story short-- these are highlights of our stay (which was supposed to be for 2 nights): - Walked into 2-bedroom suite, no drapes--people can see completley inside. Called and front desk person said, "ma'm you are in a suite, it's better than our regular rooms" Went to front desk, he handed us a sheet and some scotch tape! Too add to it, I asked to keep the tape in case the sheet falls, and he said..... "well, this is my only tape. rips a piece off and hands it to us" - Cat HAIR/ pet store smell EVERYWHERE! - All towels in bedroom were WET and FOLDED-- nasty. - Elevator broken - Went back downstairs to have our room switched-- gave us new keys and we walked into new suite. Same things... only, noticed that there was a sweater left behind-- brought our stuff in, only to find that in the 1 bedroom, there were LUGGAGES! They gave us room key to someone elses room! - in one of our king rooms-- my family member goes into bathroom to find a stool and urine on toilet. - demanded to see manager-- manager called in sick next day. THIS HOTEL IS INDEPENDENTLY OWNED, HOWEVER HAVE CALLED THE RAMADA CUSTOMER SERVICE LINE TO HELP ME HANDLE.

Price Is The Only Benefit
By Gino, 07/30/06
Located just off Market Street, one of the worst neighborhoods in SanFran. Our room was tiny, with moldy bathroom, unclean towels and glasses. Plus the keycard didn't work and the desk clerk argued rather than helped. Made it very easy to get up early and leave!
