Good for overnight stop
By R, 06/06/07
Stopped on our way from LA to Portland, Or. Just needed a place to sleep. The room was spacious, clean. In-room coffee. Plenty of hot water & great water pressure. Not a shower that just piddles on your head! Evening desk clerk was very pleasant, helpful. This motel is a little off the freeway, but the directions given over the phone were excellent. Off the freeway means a lower price. Only negative comment: Matress covers have some sort of moisture barrier, so they don't breath. Found a fun place to eat called Logan's Roadhouse. Good steaks, great prices, peanut shells on the floor. Ask the desk clerk for directions.

Ponerrosia at Redding CA
By Richard H, 05/30/07
Hotel is clean with a fridge, microwave and breakfast. Reservations were confusing to the clerk. My physical credit card number did not match the one time credit card used for reservations. It got sorted out. Biggest difficulty was with Yahoo maps. The printout skipped the second page, unknown till reaching the city. Approaching from the North a zillion turns were required and confusing one way streets. A straight arrival if the destination if approached from the South. No distance advantage with either exit. The new Yahoo Map S***S.

I'd roll the dice with another hotel...
By Stephen, 10/30/06
The exterior was run down and looked to be in the middle of a remodel. We still had painters' tape on our door handle and no numbers were on the door. The stairways were narrow, isolated and kind of spooky. The interior was marginal. The refridgerator was filthy. The TV remote had the batteries taped in, because the back was missing. I have not stayed at a great many hotels, but this was definately in the bottom two.

TOO DIRTY!
By JESSIBARE, 07/07/06
I made reservations based on the reviews I read here. I can't believe nobody commented on the dirty feel of the hotel, the towels were no longer white. When we arrived the first thing i noticed was the left over food from breakfast under the counter in the lounge. On the way up the stairs be careful, the steps are off! As we got to the top of the stairs we were greeted by a trash can full of trash and a stack of broken down air conditioners in the walkway! We did not stay all three nights. Once the curtains were open we notice spiders/webs along the ceiling. In the bathroom the ceiling had water damage and parts of the drywall were coming off. I got the feeling there has not been any real thorough cleaning of the rooms for ages! I did not take off my shoes without having a pair of socks to put on. The bed was so hard we did not bother staying the last night. We paid only $20 more for the Hilton. I would not give this motel 1 star, I thought I read it was a 3 star, based on the conditions of the grounds I cant believe it could pass for a 3. Room was not restocked when cleaned, had to ask for everything after the first night here. The good part is at least the air conditioner worked and the girl at the front desk was pleasent. Place is fine if you are desparate and sleeping in your car would be the last resort! As for the Lulu's restaraunt next door, it looked so dirty on the outside there is no way we were going to step inside. My guess is that the motel and the restaraunt has the same owner. They both are in need of renovation and cleaning! We would not recommend this place to anyone.
