Loud Neighbors, awful toilet paper

I stayed there prior to catching a flight to the East Coast on Sept. 14, '08. My upstairs neighbors were unbearably loud all night long, my next door neighbor kept their TV blasting all night long at max volume, and the toilet paper was rough and tough. There was no cold water in the tub. The bed sheets had ink stains on them. Definitely not worth the 90+ dollars for a night. Not at all. I'll never stay there again.

What a great value

A diamond in the rough. Loved the free WIFI. Great free continental breakfast bar, great rate and 1/2 mile to the airport. Wonderful pool area. Rooms in the front building had a nice private outside sitting area. Beautifully landscapped property.

I can't believe there are so many positive reviews

This is a hotel which is in need of a renovation.It looks very old,and rundown. The only positive thing is that it is close to LAX.

Great Value And Would Return

Everything was great. Great location to LAX and reasonably priced. Liked the idea that I had the Denny's Restauant which is open 24 hours available as I came in very late and wanted something to eat. I took advantage of the great continental breakfast in the morning. I took advantage of the free internet. I would definately stay there again. VALUE, VALUE, VALUE

Not bad for the area....

Room was clean, the structure is pretty old. It's very close to the airport so for the price it's alright. They initially put me on the second floor, I requested something on the first if available because I had several really heavy bags to bring in. The young man at the desk gave an exasperated sigh then moved me to the first. What I didn't realize was that he'd put me as far away from parking as was physically possible so I ended up working harder than if I'd just taken the second floor. Entire motel is fenced for security and there was a guard walking around most of the time (bad neighborhood) so it seemed secure. I'd stay there again for the convenience to LAX but nothing else about the place would bring me back.

Good Location, Bad Service

Pros: Close to LAX and other amenities such as car rentals, restaurant food, gas station. Flexibility for early check-in, without additional charge, if room is available. Option of a late and extended check-out (8pm) by paying just a half day rate. Cons: Dont expect much or additional services to be provided by the staff. Take extra notes regarding the arrangements required for the complimentary shuttle service provided FROM the AIRPORT to the hotel. And the shuttle services timings FROM the HOTEL to the Airport.

Nice place, shame about the service

Great for the airport, with an LAX shuttle and a location right in the middle of car rental country. The building is cute. The room was spacious and airy, with a nice view over the pool through a curtain of trees, so very private, even serene, despite occasional aircraft noise (you are near a huge airport -- bring ear plugs). Parking is tight and difficult, wi-fi access was erratic, and the breakfast area is far too small. Breakfast also ends too early (9.00 am). But what spoiled it was the terrible service. Perhaps motel staff aren't paid much but these people were downright rude, from the manager down. Give this place a miss until you read reports their attitude has improved.

Nice, clean and quiet

After a 16 1/2 hour flight, we arrived at the hotel at approximately 8am, well be fore the 3pm check in time. The manager immediately stepped up and directed one of the cleaners to prepare the room. He asked that we come back in an hour and the room would be ready. He suggested going next door to Denny's for some breakfast. We returned, our room was ready and we took a much needed nap. The hotel took the initiative to get us into the room early well before they were obligated too. It made for a great stay.

Pro's - Easy to make booking on-line. Fast Check-in and out. Brief breakfast. Con's - No telephony answer the call after a few calls, give up waiting a the LAX airport for more than 2 hours for the so called 24hrs shuttle services. Finally, I get a cab to the hotel cost 25USD.
