wonderful time

Our family just returned from a vacation to Mountain View and stayed at the lodge. We were very impressed. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but arranged well and bathrooms are nice and large with big bathtubs. They have a sliding glass door to a small patio with andirondack chairs and views of woods. Each room as refrigerator and coffee pot and cable tv. The beds were a bit on the hard side for us, but new mattresses and attractive. The restaurant is a fabulous value--food is tasty and price is affordable, unlike inside many parks where they hold you up on price. The folk center is a great family attraction--something for everything and see the musical program--good, inexpensive fun! The lodge is the place to stay, too. The drive back into town is short, it is closer to Blanchard Springs, and you get discounts on entry into craft area and music program tickets. The people are all very friendly. Restaurant service could get a bit slow if there was a rush, but people were very nice. We enjoyed this so much, we will go back again and will try other Arkansas state parks!!
