Boring
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/28/06
If you don't own a boat or rent a boat, you can not get to the lake to fish. There are no paths to go down to fish from the bank. Since this is a man made lake, there are trees everywhere and you can not anchor your boat to fish. You must drift around, which makes it very difficult. If you do not fish or want to play golf every day, or have kids that will be happy spending the whole day in the pool, you are going to be very bored. There is no nite life and very little day life. The pictures on the net and in their brochures of all of the beautiful scenery, are either airial shots or taken from a boat. There are only a couple trails to hike and 1 of them, you must pay for a boat ride to Sugarloaf Mtn, in the middle of the lake. We had a 7 day stay and came home on day 3.

Watch OUT!!!!
By carey, 06/05/06
The staff was very friendly and helpful; they needed to be! When we arrived at the unit, our keys didn't work so we had to drive back to registration, wait for the cleaning person to get us in. Eventually she had to get a couple of maintenance men to essentially break in and unlock the deadbolts. Then unit had been used and not cleaned; we had to wait for that to be fixed. There were spider webs and spiders all over the door ways. One of the decks was covered with an entire season of leaves. The place smelled like it had been closed up all winter and spring. On the positive side, the accomodation was very roomy, great setting, plenty of hot water for showers, nice kitchen if you plan to do some cooking. It's five miles from the marina, so not far to get the kids in the water.
