Perfect Location, Great Hotel
By Jaime and Rod, 3/29/11
We stayed here for the first time last November, we have just booked a longer stay for this November. Excellent location from the airport, close to the highways, food and shopping. Right across from the most awesome little park. Staff was most helpful, hotel was clean and up to date. We are looking forward to our second stay!!

A lovely stay!
By ClareS, 6/2/10
This is an adorable small motel (motel, only because the room doors open to the outside). The staff was very attentive. We chose the single queen room. It was small, but no smaller than expected, clean, neat, and well organized. The 3 palms is located about 15 minutes away from the airport. Close enough to get there fast, but far enough away so you don’t feel like you’re staying ‘by the airport.’ The building is set back from the road so you really don’t hear any traffic sounds. It was close to everything we wanted to see, shopping, SkySong, Dutch Brothers Coffee, Desert Botanic Gardens, Old Scottsdale. We would definitely stay again!

uuuhhh good price but id look around
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/21/09
this place was once a cheep hotel. it is now renovated with contemporary decor. the doors to the room are outside and are not sound proof at all. you can hear everything that is directly outside your door. the service was ok. they have under paid front desk employees. they are not genuinely courteous and seem fake. I would not stay here again. i booked my room at last min online. I did not receave there lowest rate like they guaranty on there web site. I even asked the front desk lady and she told me she has to go with the rate on her computer. I will be forwarding documents to my lawyer so they can send them a letter.

Nice Stay
By Mark Schumacher, 3/17/09
My wife and I went to the Valley for business in Chandler and family in Scottsdale. The 3 Palms was centrally located in Scottsdale and offered easy access to the 101/202 to Chandler. The 3 Palms was tastefully remodel and they rooms very comfortavle. We enjoyed the local park next door and found the people very friendly. The pool area was awesome, and is a great place to sit out and enjoy the sun and the company. We definitely would stay again.

Comfort at a good price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/12/08
The cleaning staff always forgot something - one night we didn't get any new soaps, the next day no bath towels. The hotel charges $1 for every call, even local ones so we used our cell alot. The hotel has a very nice pool area and an upper deck for sunbathers. The hot tub didn't always work but was very large so you never felt crowded. Right across the street is a beautiful park that we enjoyed taking nightly walks through. The room had a microwave and fridge which came in very handy because there is no breakfast. A lounge offers free coffee and tea all night and day as well as internet access and newspapers. Overall it was a very good stay. The beds are incredibly cover and the sheets are so soft. We slept really well here. Not far from downtown Scottsdale and you can use McDowell Street to get downtown instead of getting on the interstate or bypasses.

Way over priced
By Pat, 3/12/08
This place is not a resort, it is a cleaned up 70s motel with a pool. It is located well but sits off the road and there are a lot of low life in the park next door. If you want a resort look else where. The price we paid was way over the market in the area. Look up N. Scottsdale Rd for better values and nicer places. We would not ever stay there again. Rooms are very small, bed was small and the bath room is a joke. Have to go out of bath to wash hands or use the sink. The brown stucco did nothing for the exterior and the ugly colors in the rooms made it worse. Colors from the 70s. It was quiet most of the time. Staff forgot towels one night. The furnishings were chipped and cheap looking. As I said it just was not worth the money we spent for a resort. It is not a bad value for a $70 motel room but that is not what we paid.

NEVER COME BACK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/11/08
My wife and I were not big fans of this place. It was basically a drive in motel that was covered in brown paint and furnished with IKEA furniture. It is certainly not a "resort" as they claim it to be. It is a renovated motor inn. The walls/doors were extremely thin. At 2:00 in the morning when people were coming home from the bars drunk, you heard all of their stumbling, yelling, talking on cell phones and oddly enough swimming at the pool. After calling the front desk approximately 5 times in our 2 day stay, they basically did nothing about it. The pool is located in the center of all of the rooms and you can hear everything that is happening at the pool. The rooms were tiny approximately 12 x 15 and very cramped. They tried to fit 10 lbs of furniture into a 5 lb bag. They tried to make it a "trendy" room, but it just ends up looking like they raided the clearance rack at target. I'm not one to complain about a hotel. I just want something that is quiet, comfortable, somewhat spacious and provides decent service. This place provides none of this. Stay somewhere else....

Worth the price
By Philip, 12/4/07
We stayed the night at the 3 Palms to catch an early flight out of Pheonix. It was nice because the airport was only 12 minutes away. The Hotel had very nice and professional staff. The rooms were very nice and comfortable however they were a little tight. We had a room with two queen beds wich were very comfy. I loved the shower and how the room had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a hair dryer. We were a little weary because of some of the reviews. You definatley get what you pay for. The pictures are a little flawed when it comes to the size of the rooms. The rooms are nice, much better than what you would get for another hotel at that price. The hotel is lacking a little if you are going there to stay at a resort. It is basically a Motel 6 that had a very expensive renovation. The rooms are a little small but are really nice. We would stay there again.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/12/07
people knocking on our door all hours of the night!! This did not make for a great nights sleep.... Beds are great and the place is clean! Folks behind the front desk work with you... but still this is just not my type of place... way too much noise.
