Clarion Mesa Hotel, Mesa

My family and I were moving with the military and needed a hotel to stay in close to home while we packed up our house. When we first checked in we thought what a great deal! The rooms may be nice and they have a decent breakfast but NOTHING is worth the HORRIBLE customer service and disrespect of the front desk staff. We stayed here for 3 nights and all of a sudden when we checked out there was an extra 100 tacked on the bill. We asked what it was for and they said that we left the room a disaster. This however was very untrue ( I now kick myself that I didnt take pics of the condition of the room when we checked out, never know when you have to protect yourself I guess) I made sure that I picked up all the trash and put it in the trash cans, all the dirty towels in the tub, and everything was nice and tidy. I couldnt believe they completely were lying to me! The were so rude and the front desk MANAGER actually threatend me that if I didnt stop arguing with him he would tack an additional 100 charge on. Are you kidding me? I could not believe that they were treating their hotel guests this way. I will never stay here again and have spread the word throughout the military community as well. NOT WORTH IT!!!!!

Inn recently had a complete makeover; new carpets, linens, interiors. Everything was very clean; the inn doesn't allow smoking, so we especially liked not having to deal with stale cigarette odor! Was quiet and peaceful the night we were there. Pool and exercise room are small, but very nice. Breakfast was generous and lots of choices provided. We also loved the free Wi-Fi! Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here four nights and were delighted with our accommodations. Because of the low price, we were a bit cautious when we booked our room. But what a wonderful surprise! Having recently undergone a complete makeover, the motel has a fresh feeling. We appreciated having inside corridors. The décor of the spacious room was very attractive and contemporary, with beautiful granite counters and tile. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have found in any motel, with plenty of nice pillows and soft linens. The bathroom towels were huge and fluffy. And, of course, they provided facial soap, bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion. If we had forgotten anything (like toothbrush or toothpaste), they had complimentary items available at the front desk. Despite what a previous reviewer wrote, the rooms do indeed have hair dryers, irons, and ironing boards. The radio alarm clock worked great, as did the large television with a multitude of channels to choose from. There was also a refrigerator and microwave, a good sized desk, and a very comfortable stuffed chair in the corner. The room heater/air conditioner worked well and without the usual noise we have encountered in other motels. There is a clean and attractive outdoor swimming pool, a hot whirlpool, and a room with fitness equipment. High speed wireless internet is available in all of the rooms, and in the lobby there are two computers with a printer. A free daily newspaper is available at the front counter. The breakfast room offers coffee, tea, juices, milk, cereal, fruit, pastries, and make-your-own waffles. The best feature of this motel is the warm hospitality of the management and staff. It is obvious that they want their guests to have a good experience and will go out of their way to accommodate. For instance, when I was up very early in the morning working on the computer in the lobby, the gentleman at the front desk offered to make some fresh coffee for me. The motel is easy to get to, off either Highway 60 or Highway 202. This was an outstanding bargain and an unexpected gem. We will definitely stay here again and advise others to do so as well.

The Rooms are huge ,spacious and clean.Pool is great, most thing i lked was its hot tub. Clicking on reviews seems to be a bad hotel, but its not so.... to be very honest its a value for money.

Awfully run down motel. Needs a complete overhaul. Big room, no heat, slept in my jeans and sweatshirt with the hood over my head. Worst place I have ever stayed in. Sorry but it's the truth.

This hotel was a great stay for me. I enjoyed the room the most because it had plenty of space. Most hotel rooms are so small and you feel cramped. The room had a mini refrig and micro wave so I didn''t have much reason to leave my room. Except when I went to relax at the hot tub. Free wireless internet. And for the rate I couldn''t believe how economical the price was.

TERRIBLE. No AC be prepared to sweat, very dirty, pool is green TV Fussy very bad experience. I will never return to this motel again.

We arrived in March,air-conditioning broken. Unsafe to leave car outside our room. So felt unsafe to leave patio door open. The room was filthy, plaster coming off wall in shower. Carpet held together with duct tape. Lamps were stained. I have never been in a Hotel this dirty. This Hotel should be closed until it is refurbished. I am surprised that web-sites offer this Hotel. We were booked in for 1 week, but it was so dirty we didn't stay 1 night. A scramble to find another 1 week accomodation.

STAFF WAS VERY CARING HOUSEKEEPING WAS GOOD. MANAGER WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND RESPECTFULL. VERY CLEAN N SPOTLESS THE PROPERTY WAS. iT HAS IMPROVED ALOT SINCE MY LAST-YEAR VISIT IN 2005.

Dont recomend to a homeless person! The room was dirty, and extra pillows and clean sheets are like gold to them, not much of it!
