Poco Diablo Resort, Sedona

Our room not only smelled clean, it WAS clean. The rooms are nicely furnished, and had everything we needed for our two day stay.

My wife and I had a king room with a sleep number bed. We had never slept on a SNB before and it was great. The resort is older but has been updated (new tile, granite countertop, carpet,furniture etc). The grounds are beautiful, our room overlooked the golf course. The restaurants are very good, service was good. Location is tops only 2 miles from the "Y" and uptown. Probably not the best resort in Sedona but a good value.

The room was disappointing as soon as I stepped in. The bathroom did not have a light over the shower, the tub stopper closed by itself, no handrails or slip guard in the tub so that you don't slip and fall. There was no control for the AC unit which made a horrendous loud noise when it went on that kept me awake all night. I had to finally unplug it. the walls are paper thin. There was an unkempt water fountain that stayed on all night and served more as a mosquito magnet than a decorative attraction. There was a musky odor and it seemed that things were dusty. The carpeting was old. For the price I paid for the tiny room it should have been much better. The views shown are not really there and is possibly for the pricier rooms. I can't see those rooms as much better since I paid $152 (after taxes) for a regular room.

Concierge - excellent , mini-golf course view great , quiet , clean , staff very friendly. Breakfast is good , dinner in the hotel average. I would certainly stay again.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this resort while on vacation last week. We were treated to an upgraded room at no cost. The room was awesome!! Excellent view of the golf course. The room was modern and very clean (there is nothing worse than a dirty hotel room). The service both at the front desk and at the restaurant was outstanding. During our stay I purchased a ring and accidentally left it on the vanity. I called as soon as I figured it out and the front desk immediately took care of it and sent it to me in a padded envelope. I was impressed with how they handled the situation! Also, excellent food and service at the restaurant. They have a sunset menu for 14.95 with a dessert, making dinner much more affordable! I would definately stay at this resort again!! Although the location is not right in town, it is just a short 5 minute drive in, which we were aware of prior to booking.

This is a beautiful resort. The rooms are recently remodeled and include Sleep Number Beds. The decor was warm and comfortable. The veiws are amazing. The 9 hole golf couse is great. Plenty of wildlife and huge trees. The creek runs directly behind the property and is fun and beautiful to explore.Every member of the staff was friendly, knowleable and professional. The pool was clean and very warm, even in January. They have a large workout room. The restaurant was very nice. Again, great staff treated us with warmth. We are going back as soon as we can!

I enjoyed the friendliness of the staff the most. We arrived starving and had just missed the 2 closing of the restaurant until dinner. Spent a relaxing time in the bar watching sports, Olympic updates and eating chips and BBQ chicken appetizers. Jan, our waitress, was so much fun and clued us in on everything in the area. We felt immediately at home here because of her. We had a handicapped room and it worked out great. The view from our room was the pool, and the patio was nice to be able to sit out on. The sleep number beds were fun, we each had our own bed, and we giggled as we tried different firmness levels. The bathroom was very accomodating for handicapped. It came with a wheel in shower and a plastic bench/chair to sit on. I always like heat lamps so I utilized this. I would have loved to have stayed longer, but we only had one night here. We went to the Sunset Dinner special which is between 5-7 pm and includes a salad or soup, a main type course, chefs dessert, and sodas. My husband had the shrimp in angel hair pasta and really enjoyed this. I had the flank steak with carmelized veggies on wedges of toasted special bread. It was unbelievably delicious, although we were still stuffed from the afternoon appetizers. The dessert was chocolate bread pudding which we took to go and was our food for the trip home to California. It was spectacularly scrumptious. I would totally recommend this "tucked out of the way" resort to anyone. It was very peaceful. The kindness of the staff was beyond description. The famous chapel in the mountains is just up the road and this is something you should not miss. (Just be sure you see it before it is all closed up at 6 p.m.!) We were on our way to Phoenix and the hotel is right on the way so this was also very convenient!

We arrived at this so-called Resort with a group of 44. It was in the middle of nowhere. If you had a golf course room, you had a view. Otherwise you had nothing or dumpsters or trucks. They are in the middle of remodeling. Our room was nice and had a sleep-number bed. Many of our fellow travelers had problems. One had no lights in the bathroom and was told they could be moved. However the staff stole some lightbulbs from other rooms and fixed the bathroom lighting. There was no shade on the bedroom lamp and my friend went to the parking lot where there was a heap of trash and found a lamp shade. Other people were put in rooms with dumpsters or trucks outside their rooms. When we went to the restaurant, we found reservations were needed. We had just arrived at 5:30 p.m. and of course, had no reservations. This was the only place to eat (except for a limited bar menu) because the "resort" is out of town. Other hotels had beautiful views of the rocks. The cincher was that we went to a Best Western in Williams which was beautiful. People couldn't believe a Best Western surpassed the Radisson.

For our two year wedding anniversary my husband and I planned to stay in Sedona at the Radisson Poco Diablo Resort. We made our reservations weeks ahead of time so that things would be paid for when we arrived. But to our surprise when then took out information nothing had been charged to our account. We were stunned, they had gave us a confirmation number confirming that everything was taken care of but it wasn’t. They wanted to charge our credit card again. We paid for one night and figure we would just work it out in the morning when the manager got there. In the morning we noticed that they had charged a few things to our credit card that we were not told about. When we decided to check out in the morning we were told that nothing had been paid for and we owed for all three night if we chose to stay again. We paid for the one night and left. The people at the front desk were very rude and not helpful at all. As far as the room it self goes… When we went to our room it was nice. It was a good size room but not a lot of stuff in it. They had a sleep number beds in the room that was awful. It was the most uncomfortable bed that we have ever slept on.It smelled funny but was clean. We decided to just try and enjoy the night. The whole night the mini Ice Box that they had in the room was making a funny noise. It kept me up part of the night. The air conditioner made a funny noise as well. They had told us that the spa was in good working order but it took forever to get the jets going on it. And then it made a god awful noise too. They said that they have a great view of the local area which isn’t true. It is far from Oak Creek which is where all of the shops are. We had to drive 25 minutes to get something to eat because it was cheaper then ordering off of their room service menu. Plus there was nothing on the menu that we could pronounce. It was more for a gourmet type food menu and was very expense. We well never go back and we are telling everyone we know not to go there.

Our recent stay at the Radisson Poco Diablo Resort was one of the worst hotel experiences we have ever had. The room was dark and dirty. The sink and bath tub were clogged not to mention extremely grimy. The room had a strong odor of stagnate air and mildew. Room service was unhelpful and didn’t even provide a menu in the room when asked. There were no amenities provided, not even a hair dryer! The air conditioner was broken and made noises all night long. For three hours 3am to 6am there was a loud banging noise from the room above us and the Staff did nothing about it. The Front desk attendant was rude and did nothing to resolve any issues, they didn’t even apologize. The photos of this hotel online are a joke the hotel looks nothing like that; it shouldn’t qualify as a resort. I wouldn’t even give this hotel one star. The staff lost all the service points they had. We were in Sedona for a wedding and other members of our party stayed at other various hotels, not only did we have the worst hotel room, but we were paying the most!! Even the Days Inn was nicer and provided more amenities then the Radisson. I will never return to this “resort”, in fact I will not return to a Radisson hotel now because of this stay. I am truly disappointed in the way they conduct business.
