We won't be back
This property, while freeway-close and reasonably priced, is rundown and in need of serious renovation.
Our reservation (made by phone with Ramada's central reservation office, found on the Net) was messed up, but the lady at the front desk eventually fixed that for us and did not charge us extra for the resulting "upgrade" from "studio" to "suite."
Here were the key issues we had with this motel, in no particular order. The mirrored closet sliding doors were off their runners. Television reception in the evenings was so poor as to be unwatchable, and the television (along with the phone) was in the suite's "sitting room," not in the tiny, spartan bedroom. The breakfast was unappealing (mini-muffins, cold cereal, and no decaf). One soap, one shampoo for two people, and the faucets had not had a good scrub in who knows how long. The sheets were soft but smelt a little funky. No in-room coffee was provided on the second day until we went down to ask for it, and our keys stopped working on the second day (quickly fixed, but involved yet another trip down to the front desk, whose attendant was friendly and as helpful as she knew how to be).
None of this constitutes unmitigated disaster, but we could have done much better for ourselves in that same general location.
But, oddly, the towels were softer and more pleasant to use than those at my previous accommodations (the Westin), which charged over 3 times more.
