My son and I needed to get away for one day, we live in the midwest and we had been experiencing the worst cold weather blasts. The day we left for our one day trip to Phoenix, the temperature was six degrees. We chose the hotel based on their online desciption, a 166 foot slide (for him), room service, and accessibility. This trip was a splurge and an complete disappointment. I called the hotel to get information on transpotation, they gave me two phone numbers of services that they use and recommend. The first one I called, the man told me he was babysitting his son and could not pick us up. Once we arrived at the hotel by taxi, he called my cell phone and said he was available. We ordered room service to our room only to find out that the menus we had were not the menus we were supposed to have had. The kitchen was under construction and the menu was limited to three entree items, of course not what we ordered. We checked in at 7pm and checked out at 6pm the following day. I just received a $600 bill and have now been on hold trying to call the hotel about this obvious mistake. What did I like about this place and why? Absolutley nothing, the service, the price, the ammenities all just remnants of what the Sheraton used to be. This particular Sheraton is operating on auto pilot using it's former reputation to be able to overcharge and not be held accountable for poor service and exborbinant rates. Save your money and time. P.S. I have now been on hold for 30 minutes, I don't see that I will be answered any time soon.
