Credit card misuse
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/12/06
Business ethics 101 - not here. When I stayed at the Silverbow Inn for one night they charged my credit card for a second night. This was done just prior to my checking in. Nothing was said about this when I was there. I found out later when I saw the credit card statement. When I contacted the Silverbow Inn to try and have this resolved the response was one of arrogance and so what too bad. I asked the credit card company to investigate, which they did, resulting in this charge been reversed. So I am not out any money but there is the ethical question (putting it politely)of using credit card information without the cardholders knowledge for a transaction that never occurred.

Stayed there July 2005
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/06/05
The price is high for an older building with plain rooms that are actually quite small. The front view is limited to the office buildng that is right across the street and the view to the north is of the parking lot next door. When we stayed there the staff had problems addressing basic issues such as room billings and confirmation requests. Overall one can get better value and a more relaxing stay by looking elsewhere.

Not fun to have a cold shower
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/12/05
The impression you got about the service, the stale coffee and the attitude of the staff and owner, is that their heart is not in what they are doing. The water was cold during the showers at night. I think that they had a timer at 10:00 p.m. which reduced the water temperature. Juneau is a nice, but not Silver Bow inn.
